"WOW! Being in pain and scared of a bad diagnosis! I want to tell everyone I can about how rude and unhelpful the office staff was to me. I was the patient and was referred to an Flaum Eye center. A week went by and 10 calls later, the staff never sent and would not sent over the referral paperwork. I called to ask if they would please call Flaum and straighten out the problem. The answer I got was, if we did this for all our patients we get anything done. When I was in the office the staff had plenty of time to talk to each other. Customer/Patient service does not exist at the Unity Rehabilitation & Neurology at ridge-way in room 420. The doctor was very professional but NOT the staff. It took me over a week with no help from the staff a Unity Rehabilitation & Neurology at ridge-way in room 420. PS I went to Flaum the very next day and they did emergency surgery to my eye that same day. If I waited any longer I would have lost sight forever in my eye said the surgeon. Unity thanks for nothing!!!"
"I had a less than stellar experience with another neurology practice, so I was really nervous coming here. It was a bit of a wait to get in to see Dr Cullen, but totally worth it. The secretaries are pleasant, the nurses - especially Shawn and Mary Jo helped put me at ease and are easy to talk to. Most importantly, Dr Cullen finally made me feel like I wasn't so crazy and he actually listened to my concerns. He always asks if I have any questions and thoroughly explains everything. I could not be happier with my decision to transfer here!"
"Stay away! Their policies are constantly changing. In the past two years, I've had at least 4 different policies in order to get various prescriptions filled. I've been a patient of one of the doctors there for the past 6 years. He left the practice back in June. I saw him on the last day he was there. He said he would refer me to another doctor over there. I scheduled an appointment with the new doctor but therein lies the problem. The new doctor couldn't see me for 3 months and one of my prescriptions is on a month-to-month basis. I informed the girl at checkout about this and her exact words were, "don't worry about it, just call in. Your doctor is going to brief the new doctor and give him all of your records." I called in, and they tell me that I need to talk to my primary care physicians as they just changed their policies last week and wouldn't be able to prescribe me any medications until I see the new doctor. My primary won't do it because their office didn't prescribe me the medication in the first place. This is absolutely ridiculous."
"I have chronic migraine, to the point where it keeps me from my job and my daily life sometimes. I was unable to go back into the doctors for my 6th month check in, so then i scheduled my next appointment i had to wait an additional 3 months to get in. They then called me and said they have to reschedule my appointment and i have to wait another TWO MONTHS! When i explained my migraines have been getting worse they said oh we will just put you on the waiting list and for me to " have a good day ", Because of all of this i cannot even fill my prescriptions because i havent had an appointment in the allotted time. The doctor I have is very friendly and i don't have a complaint about them, however this is not how i think people who miss daily activities and their jobs should be treated."
"Asked for a schedule A letter for employment and they sent me the wrong letter twice which had information on the letters that probably are a HIPA violation. And is probably illegal for them to put in one of these letters. I will be getting a lawyer to see if the subject matter is illegal to put in these types of letters. Do not get services from this place. They double billed me and I needed legal services to solve the problem. They talk down to you and like with this letter do not listen to patients/clients. I will probably need legal assistance to get the letter right. Everything is a long drawn out mess with them to get even the littlest things you need done completed with them. Other agencies have asked for information that I had given them permission for them to get it and they did not give it to them. They seem to cause great hardship for their patients."
