"I am Currently on the phone trying to call this clinic to make an appointment for my son and have been waiting for nearly 30 minutes ! This clinics front desk is not very busy for them to leave a person on hold for so long it’s ridiculous!! Do better please !! People need to be able to call and make an appointment for themselves or for their children without being put on a brief hold or waiting for so long to do so .. this isn’t very professional !! Or Give People better access to making appointments on the MyChart app cause being on the phone so long isn’t doing anything for them"
"I should’ve read the reviews before enrolling here for myself and my children. These reviews are so true! I made an appointment over a month ago for myself and my children. No where did it say to take birth certificate and social security card of your child, No where. They call many times to remind you about appointment, they text many times to confirm appointment, but never did they mention that if your child is a new patient to bring birth certificate. I even got an appointment paper telling me about the appointment for new patient and it didn’t say there either. My son is 15, we have been to other clinics and never asked for those papers. I wouldn’t mind providing but why not inform the patients. On top of that the lady who asked me for this in front desk was so unprofessional and rude. So my son was not seen. Very inconvenient after we plan for this over a month ago. I asked for supervisor and no supervisor. I’ve had good experience at Montefiore clinics and hospital but they should check this place and the people they hire for front desk. I had gone for myself and the doctor, nurse, and social worker were great. Sad I have to look for another clinic because I can’t deal with the unprofessional issues the front desk has."
"It's by far the worst to make an appointment with them. At times it will take hours Just to get someone on the line. Other times the operator will say that too many people are on the line and to call back at a later time. When you do go to the clinic to see if there is a lot of people there. I've checked personally myself. I do it because I want to see if they are lying. When you go There might be about 5 patient 7 patient tops. Montefiore is getting worse."
"I have been going to this clinic for 24th since 1997. I am one of the first group of patients, and over the yrs the Quality of care has declined and staff has become impossible to communicate with. Example: when I call in to make an appointment or to get a referral I wait on the phone for about 45 minutes to only have someone hang up on me, then your told to go to the exam room and you wait there for a 30-45 until your doctor comes in. Here’s the funny part when your running late the staff only gives you a 10 min grace period while they at the office makes you wait 30-45 mins in the exam room. As for the doctors a lot of the good ones have retired or left so the quality of care has declined because a lot of the doctors just don’t care anymore. I am in the process of changing my whole care team with a new clinic, I suggest if you are looking for a good clinic and medical care to look at the reviews because this place is horrible now."
"Extremely long waits in the examining room with no one coming in to see you. Asked a Dr. on three different occasions to check my blood for diabetes and my request has been ignored each time. Dr. asked on one visit if I wanted a flu shot, I said yes. He then says let me see if the nurse can give it to you now, he then returns and tells me she can not give me the flu shot at that time ( I'm guessing pure laziness.) At another visit I was told by a Dr. that I should make an appointment at the front desk before I leave, I go to the front desk and ask to make an appointment and the woman at the front desk says " Oh, you can just call when you get home and make the appointment over the phone." I'm thinking I'm right in front of this woman and she's telling me to call when I get home because she was too damn lazy to make an appointment for me than and there. One strange issue that occurred was they would not see my son every time I called to make an appointment for him because about two years prior he missed an appointment at that same clinic. They would actually tell me to take him to urgent care if he wanted to see a Dr. and they would not refill his prescriptions. Also when you call the clinic someone picks up ,tells you they need to put you on hold and they never get back to you, they just leave you on hold. This occurs every time you call.These people could care less about you."
