"I was not overly impressed. At first he was kind. I had sinus surgery. He told me any issues I had to just call. After my script ran out, the pharmacy called to renew. He responded to the pharmacist that he hadn’t seen me in a year and they would not refill the script. They didn’t suggest a follow up appointment. Subsequently, I changed doctors. Incidentally at a later date, , my young niece had her tonsils removed by Dr. Lai. After she was released from the hospital and went home she started bleeding pretty badly. Her mother took her to the ER and she was admitted to OGH. I believe she was there two days and Dr. Lai never once checked in on her. His office never returned my sister’s phone call. It cemented my previous held position that he was not committed to the wellbeing of his patients. He certainly wasn’t going to go out of his way to support his patients - not even a child."

"I’ve been a patient of Dr. Lai’s for a couple of years now, and I agree that he is very no-nonsense and straightforward, but he is also extremely kind and most of all, he is very competent! I have had no issues there, and his staff is extremely friendly!"

"I was just body shamed by this doctor. He did surgery on me a few years ago to help with my sleep apnea. I went to him today to talk about my severe nasal congestion and he body shamed me so bad to the point I was crying so hard and told me to loose the 3 people that I was carrying around and to stop snacking and eat three meals a day and do something about my weight and his only other possible suggestion was to do a trachiotomy. But the hole time was in the office was about my weight he didn't even try to address the reason I was there about my congestion, he just wanted to put me down about my weight. Which I have Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome and that makes weight loss difficult."

"I Can't Understand all this Hatred, But for me and My Precious Son, Everyone treated him with Such Kindness and Dr. Lai did a Great job With my Sons Tubes, He Started Hearing Better Right away and about to go in for his 6 month Check up! They called the first month a bunch of times to make sure he was okay and to see how he was transitioning. 5 Star Review From this father!!!"

"I only gave a star so that I could write a review. I agree with other reviews that most of the staff is rude and obnoxious. But this doctor is condescending,and sexist. In one case, I was the patient and he never spoke directly to me. He addressed my husband about my issue. Why, I don't know, but we went back for my husband's tonsils. Lai removed them, but for 2 months, FORGOT to tell us the biopsy showed cancer! I do not recommend this office at all. No stars!!!"
