Reviews of Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation
"My sister was admitted to Parker almost four months ago and my family and I are extremely grateful for the superb care that she has been receiving. Her care team on the Eighth Floor North is exceptional and their caring, compassionate, respectful and attentive demeanor makes my sister’s life bearable given the fact that she is severely debilitated and paralyzed on one side of her body. Her care team includes Dr. Gazis, Head Nurse Gabriela, Nurses Bindu, Vanessa, Sandra to name a few. Our praise also goes to many wonderful Aids, Jean Marie, Jean, Park and many others who are keeping her in pristine condition. Special thanks to Monica, Dietitian who is kind enough to constantly modify her menus. Finally, our deep gratitude goes to two special ladies in the Admissions Department, Ms. Adele Murphy and Ms. Roberta Kosiorowski for their initial warm welcome and for their invaluable involvement and work with our attorney that lasted nine months in order to make my sister’s transfer possible to Parker from another state. Parker Jewish Institute is a “world-class” facility and I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking compassionate and caring place for their loved one. Thank you for providing my sister with such great care!"
"For the most part my mom received good service with her Physical Therapist and the doctor’s visit. But for everything else, it was a nightmare and very disappointing. Nobody knows anything when asked. Phone calls are not returned. The Call Center is a joke. Salon is not good Asked to have her nails cut and no one did it. Had to seek doctor as to why my mom wasn’t receiving her patch You have to stay on top of things. Wasn’t Informed of mother w/ Covid Nurse station was sometimes empty Moms room floor was very sticky for days Laundry of clothes were piling up but needed to be washed. Didn’t changed sign on the closet regarding laundry. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONE HERE!!"
"Do not send your family members here. They nearly killed my great grandfather. If it wasn’t for a Drs appt outside the facility he wouldn’t have made it. He was transported from Parker to the Drs office and the Dr took one look at him and sent him to the hospital. His oxygen level was dangerously low, my grandfather said they would leave them and never check in unless family was there so it would seem like they do something. My grandfather was there b/c he has hip surgery and ended up in the hospital with double pneumonia. Thankfully he is doing better and is at another facility but I would NEVER recommend this place"
"Mom was recently in this facility and later died. During her stay the staff showed genuine care and compassion to mom. RN Bindu and Dr.Ganzis my hat goes off to you. Mom left us feeling loved and cared for because of your involvement. Thank you for accommodating our many requests. You never said No!!! I will entrust this place to anyone seeking extensive care."
