"It's a beautiful well kept facility. Staff is generally very d dicated and friendly You do have and I do your part and keep up with your family. You have to be assertive and push for your child."
"l came here since l was a child and the whole place was very different back then. This place got my good memories till the end l stop going till Junior year in high school. l use to do all the activities normally kids would like to do but during high school l stop going cause of maturity. l wonder if things still there after all those years."
"I do not recommend this place if you child has autism and has some behavioral issues. They require a lot of paperwork and a long intake followed by a 30 day "trial" period. I applied two times before he was admitted but just for the trial period. Even after 30 days they did not admit my son and were just waiting for him to have another episode so they could dismiss him with NO NOTICE leaving me scrambling to find someone to watch him after school as a single parent. I warned them of his issues as we were applying and he didn't have an issue every day. Its "three times" and they just dismiss the child. Its not just me, a student at my sons school also has been warned hes on his way to dismissal as well. Because I was very busy at work I could not take phone calls so I wrote to the Director Jillian my concerns before he was kicked out and her response back was angry and uncaring. I do not recommend at all and anyone looking to fund and donate here should look at QSAC an Commonpoint Queens to donate to children with Autism because these places care a lot more and did not throw my son out after three occurrences."
"The person in charge of discharging my daughter Gina and the social worker Laura made me feel offended with their treatment... the first one treated me as a liar and never helped my daughter with her therapies after leaving there and she questioned me about the decisions that I take on my daughter because I did not want my daughter to have an operation and put a tube in her stomach…. who does she think she is to say what I have or not to do with my daughter???? She is a very misplaced person... and the social worker has little interest in helping my daughter because she works for the children who are inside but not for those who are outside... she questioned the loss of three special spoons that I bought with a lot of effort for my daughter… magically they got lost in that place… and if I started to tell the rest of the things I saw there I would never end…"
"If I could leave a zero star I would. My sister is in this hospital and it is always some type of negligence on their part that we come across when we go see her. She has fungus on her foot due to them leaving her foot splints on for more than 5 hours a day. Every time we go she is soiled for long periods of time. We feel as if the staff neglect her most of the time. They only rush to attend to her when my mother or any other family comes by. It is always an issue and multiple small injuries that occur and they never can explain them. We are fed up already."
