"This school is very safe because the principle and his staff are visible to ensure students are in class. The teachers are interested in students success providing help and guidance. Many courses for collage preparedness are taught there.my child is excelling at MVB."
"I graduated 2017 and this school has some of the best teachers all my teachers was friendly and always pushing me to do my best. You have to be a decent & discipline person give respect you get respect. Some kids always on their phone when the teacher ask them to put it away kids be like oh I don't like her she mad annoying. Like seriously it's class pay attention and don't screw up your life depend on high school in most situations."
"Well I graduated in 2015, my overall experience wasn't too bad honestly, some teachers need to be fired because they really don't know how to teach but some others are fantastic. In my opinion the school is not bad but the majority of students there are horrible they smoke inside and outside of the school which I think give the school a bad reputation. But while I've been there the new principal is trying to improve the school."
"This school honestly is very good. All those comments about it being bad is false, sure there will be some ups and down, but doesn't every school go through that? Before I went to this school, I was pretty worried that I wouldn't receive the proper education but it all disappeared when I went. The only reason I chose to go to this school was for the pre-med program, no other high school I wanted to go had it. I'm glad I went here, I made a lot of friends here and am proud to go to this school. Mvb is a good school, not a bad one. ✹◟(ᶮ ̮ ᶯ)◞✹"
"By the picture posted, NYPD is a constant presence at this high school. This school is known for its low average students along with promoting producing under educated that mostly spend their time at the local fast food established that are located not to far from the school. A once well respecred high school from 1980 to 1990 has seen it's decline with with an influx of ill mannered students from the south side of Queens, and holds a C- average in academics. Solution: close the school for 2 years and re-open it and have entrance exams that require minimum to basic scores for entry. Also, don't let faculty give extra points."
