"Me personally I love the teachers n staff Their very informative in keeping up with my daughter's daily progress (Mr. Holowczak) I totally appreciate him. If I have any questions, I text him n he contacts me within minutes. Mrs. Howard, Mrs Cruz, Mr.K just to name a few are the best. Not to mention straight to the point n professional. The principle, Mr.Victor, A man from another planet. His heart alone is made of gold. I just want to say thank you guys for always working with my daughter n making her realize that she's a wonderful student n that she's great!!! Grand Co course Academy, I give you 10 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"

"-Hello, I'd like to share some information about my 9 years of experience with GCA. First and foremost, I'd like to express my gratitude to all of the staff and students who have spent time with me at GCA. -After moving twice, GCA recently relocated to a freshly remodeled building. From the beginning, they have been known as "Grand Concourse Academy." Despite GCA's repeated boasts about the new school's high cost and state-of-the-art status, the structure feels modern and friendly. GCA's vibrant colors help to bring the school to life. The gymnasium is utilized for three purposes. Auditorium, cafeteria, and gym. However, the transition from one to the other is rather quick, so there's no need to be concerned. -Incoming parents should be aware that GCA is a small k-8 school, which means that everyone is very close to one another. There could be numerous disadvantages and advantages to this. My experience was a mix of the two, as I found it simpler to communicate with staff and kids after they knew who I was. However, I had the impression that in a close-knit group, gossip spread quickly. -GCA has a long way to go for middle schoolers. In high school, the school does not prepare kids to be independent. At GCA, there isn't a lot of autonomy. The students are guided to various locations such as the gym, lunch, and various classrooms. Students have little influence over their schedules, which is basically the teachers schedule. Additionally, the students in each home room are same to those in other classes. There are only two teachers for four academic classes, which means students only switch classes twice. Students in high school will have a variety of academic classes to choose from, each with a diverse set of students. So, that doesn't make any sense to me. Sports are offered at this school, however they are not taken seriously. You do not practice after school; instead, you practice on Fridays from 2:00 to 3:00. Their is limited clubs offered at GCA. We just wrote about how GCA might improve, and the principle is taking our suggestions into consideration to improve things. Please keep in mind that this is a K-8 school, therefore many things can be avoided to avoid causing distrust among the younger students. -This school's music is quite good. You can play a variety of instruments, including piano, drums, and guitar. Talent performances, as well as shows, are a lot of fun at this school. -For the most part, this school is accommodating to students of all colors and ethnicities. If you're fasting throughout the month of Ramadan, you can skip out on things like music and lunch. However, some staff and administrators aren't the best at promoting it. -This school's ICT program is highly helpful, and they can observe significant gains in a child's academic performance. -In terms of high schools, a select few students are accepted into prestigious top schools, while the majority of students attend either a charter high school or a traditional public school. -Behavior at this school isn’t horrible, although there have been occasional occurrences with drugs. If you are particularly misbehaving or exceptionally smart, you appear to be the principal's favorite and are acknowledged more frequently. In younger grades, a student's behavior is handled well. You are pulled from class and given exercises to complete with the assistant principal until you are able to calm down. Alternatively, you could go to the gym for a time. You are approached, given a warning, and if the student chooses to disregard it, you are usually given a phone call home. -When it comes to parents, some administrators are notoriously “toothy.” They scream at children and then behave as if nothing happened when confronted by a parent, quickly changing the subject. -Overall, I would give my experience a 6 out of 10. This school holds a lot of memories for me. Perhaps I could say it was one long journey. *note that one of the gym coaches is really cruel and often traumatizes children. Parents made numerous complaints on him."
"Some of the teachers are great but the coordination of the school is not good. Lack of communication with parents a lot. The administration of the school itself doesn’t run smoothly at all. Not required to have PTA (not good) meetings with parents only during the day making hard for working parents. They need to have better communication with parents and plan more in advance."
"GCA has wonderful teachers and staff that teach each other respect. My child is excelling in school. She enjoys learning and teaching. My kid actually stops teachers to say hello. We are very happy with this school."
