"This school is okay. My first year experience was much better than now. Although I'm in SP, the teachers expect so much. I get it that its SP but from last year to now is a huge gap. At first, the teachers aren't likeable but over time, you get comfortable."
"This building of education consists of two main bodies. The student body and the staff. The one star that kept this review from being a five star is not because of the staff, but rather the students. There are many students for sure who abide by the discipline code for sure. However, I have gathered from my three years of being in this school that some students are really annoying. Like, REALLY annoying. And the thing is, they are the same people every year. So, I'm sorry, it was my mistake. It is partly the teacher's fault for not making the attention-seeking and annoying people be obedient for once. I guess i will have to change my review to a three star now huh..."
"It is alright, at lunch time you do not have enough time to eat, my english teacher is very nice, i have not had problems with the other teachers. One thing you should note is that the gym uniforms only come in adult size, i am alright wearing a kind of big uniform, but this might be a problem for small kids. It is however over crowded, the hallways are stuffed between periods. Parents, this is a good school, but do not get mad at your kid for complaining, ypu are not the one who is going through this for the first time."
"As an 8th grader that just started this year, I remember having a great experience at this school. I was placed in SP for seventh grade, and the program was excellent. Most of my teachers were excellent with teaching what needed to be learned. They were very respectful, and deep down inside they care about each student and wants them to reach success. If you go to this school, just ensure that you give the teachers a chance. You have to keep in mind that being a teacher is a stressful job, and that some of these teachers are nervous as well to meet the new students, especially newer teachers like Ms. Allen (Vocal). I've learned much at this school, and I've loved the various teaching methods used. This school did have a few clubs, like the Soccer Club and the Drama Club. However, a major problem at this school is the budget. As a Student Council Member, I learned that our school couldn't afford many clubs, like a Chess Club, Debate Team and different spirit days (speaking of which, no one really participates in these spirit days because everyone thinks that they're too "cool" for it). We were lucky enough to get the Drama Club, thanks to Senator Avello, but at the moment the school budget isn't the best. I hear that they are going to be bringing the Debate team to life, so that's a bonus. Overall, this school doesn't suck. I understand that students dislike the strict rules, but these rules are for discipline and safety. Strict teachers are just doing their jobs to strengthen our characters. Had I not gone to this school, I would have never learned from my experiences, nor would I have grown into a more mature person. I'm not going to be biased and say that this school is perfect, because there are some things that aren't good, like the budget and the attitude of students. Still, this school offers a solid education, which is the main purpose of school. I was glad enough to be able to attend this school and grow as a character. If you don't really mind the rudeness of some students (which is inevitable in any school) and just want a solid education with the opportunity to be in some school activities, then MS158 is a good school. It isn't the best, but it's a good school."
"My gosh! The very first year, they get right down to the point. No lectures, no nothing. They really were helpful and the people there are AWESOME AS CHIKENS. If you 5th graders don't know...this school is awesome. really close and a really great school. They teach you like you are being taught by family. Even Gym is better! For us, we started slow. I couldn't do push-ups and crunches or whatever they were were hard. Later, we did the FItnessGram and it was fun! Lunch is ok, but its free! Breadsticks and fruit ice thing is the best! Teachers are nice so far...so this school is pretty much the best. Other schools like 74 and IS something something aren't as famillish, MS 158 is awesome. THe parties, the one they have in the beginning of the year is probably THEE BEST. all of us get to dance and meet other new friends. Pretty COOL! MS 158 is AWESOMEEEEEEEEE"
