"Highly recommend a student counsellor of some sort. They didn't have a general therapist when I went a couple of years ago, and I had no one to turn to. My experience at this school was terrible personally, and it could have been easier if there was someone to give you accepting comfort and talk you through your problems besides teachers, who don't specialize in those kinds of things anyways. The students get away with harassment, both physically and verbally, far too easy and are spoiled a lot more than they should be. My experience in the class that I was in does not speak for everyone, but be sure to lend a helping hand to students who seem to be struggling and who are being bullied right in front of the teachers' eyes. Mental health was never considered here. It's something that's just as important as physical well being."

"OLBSCA is amazing!! My child is receiving a wonderful education there. The teachers and principal are TOP NOTCH! I know that my son is part of a caring community and he will always be taken care of. There is a full time security guard and many cameras around the school. There is a wonderful counselor available to all students. They have a great lunch program, an active Academy Parent Association, and a clean environment (thanks to the wonderful groundskeeper!). He school is also attached to a wonderful parish. I know that my child will excel here ocer the years and reach his full potential with the help of all teachers and staff at OLBSCA. "As an OLBS alumni and mom of two daughters currently attending OLBS I want to acknowledge what a wonderful gift OLBS has always been to our family. My daughters have both attended since nursery school and in 1st grade my oldest daughter was diagnosed with sudden hearing loss. It was an incredibly stressful time for our family. Mrs. Kane the principal was an immeasurable  source of support. Not only did she help us step by step through the process of getting my daughter evaluated for hearing services and her FM unit but she was emotionally supportive to my daughter and our entire family. My daughter has always felt supported and accepted in school despite her hearing loss and I am greatful everyday for a school where my children feel at home. I drop them off each morning knowing they are in good hands. In addition to being my daughters' home away from home, OLBS offers an excellent well rounded education. While very strong academically, with the addition of a new computer lab and science lab, OLBS also has a wonderful art and music program. Not to mention the range of sports offered through their CYO program for both boys and girls which is unmatched in the area. I highly recommend OLBS to anyone looking for a school that provides an excellent education in an environment where every child is nurtured and accepted for who they are."

Including a CYO Sports program. There is Before and After School for working parents. Could not have made a better choice for my children and family, as the Principal knows every family and child by name, which provides a true community feel."
