"One of the best schools out there. My daughter was able to get ahead in all academic classes. She was able to take AP classes and join a sports team. The extra activities the school provides has helped my child grow as an individual. She has a great support system within the school, teachers, coaches and classmates. Truly grateful for the staffing."
"Graduated from FDA part of the class of 2018 , really an amazing school with an amazing staff . Was shocked by some of the reviews I read , for someone who played two sports and was highly involved in the school community . I can say these reviews don’t add up . All high schools have fights, kids coming to school high is outside of their control . Currently as a college student you can see the difference between schools , i outperformed almost every single student in my college and was more prepared than they were thanks to FDA. I’m sure my classmates will say the same . As for the kids who struggled academically in FDA, that’s a personal decision on the students behalf as well as the fault of the parents . FDA definitely does their best in keeping kids in class and students motivated but a lot of students just didn’t value their education they way they should have"
"Well this school isn’t good at all. I started online schooling due to the pandemic and some of the teachers weren’t helpful or understanding. I was going through some hard times through the pandemic and I ask one of my teachers for help and they told me to go to the library to do my work during a pandemic also I recently moved to a whole other state so I know no other places and I had covid before so I was kinda scared to go outside. Also they give A TON of work in one period of a time it really made me unproductive and very stressed also they didn’t give many opportunities to gain more credit in order to pass. However they are many helpful and supportive people like my math and science teachers they understood my predicament. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this school for any child or especially if they have mental illness"
"The school has horrible online learning. Some of the teachers don’t even attend there own classes. Not only that they will join 15 min later or more. And then they wanna say we should’ve completed this assignment today. There’s to much work at once sometimes to and they won’t even let you make up assignments sometimes if you do attend this school you need a parent to support 100 percent and we have classes twice a week here yes twice a week I think I got dumber going to the school."
"This school seemed to be a good fit for my daughter when I went to the open house and met with a few of the students and teachers. I was bought into when they mentioned all the good activities and programs they offer for children looking to go into college, but after hearing few people who went here and teachers who worked here saying the same thing that they have a drug problem in the school with the high school kids and how there are always fights really changed my mind about putting her here. My daughter is about to be in middle school and I fear I will chose the wrong school for her because all of district 5 middle school have low ratings for similar problems."
