"A great prek through 8th grade campus with focus on academic excellence. One of only two public schools (no tuition costs) in Brooklyn teaching Modern Hebrew to students of all backgrounds. STEAM curriculum starts in kindergarten. Eight graders travel to Israel for their Capstone trip."
"The pandemic has been hard to all schools but the new principal is doing a great job gradually bringing the school community back together. My child enjoys going to this school everyday."
"I absolutely in love with our teachers. Miss Campbell and Miss Brown, I am so thankful to you for teaching, loving and caring for my daughter. She loves you and never once she complained about anything. I can definitely state that my child feels loved. She is excited about going to school everyday. She learned a lot over this year. I can't say everything is perfect with the school set up. But, I always had my calls returned , always received proper help. I would recommend this school to all my friends. HLA hank you !"
"I am a student at the school and it is terrible. The staff changes are so sudden and confusing you cant adjust. we had a principal change and now everything has become hell. you get in trouble for the dumbest things like Detention for not wearing the right shade of blue. the uniform was changed so many times I don't know what to wear. The heads of the school don't care about what your child thinks. you wore light blue pants well you have to stay a hour in school and your mom just told you she cant pick you up well who cares either you do it here or serve In School Suspension. these are the things that make schools hated by everyone. when these things aren't improved this school. over all don't go to this school its a PRISON."
"The school is great. During the beginning I was there since 2010 when I started in Kindergarten. The school was great and the teachers were very friendly. The curriculum was outstanding. After the expansion in 2015 the school got worse, the principal and most of the good teachers left, some have stayed like Morah Mira and Mr. Rosen. Thought the school is not as good as it used to, it is still a good school."
