"The people who run the school are scammers and pushers. I went to this school a couple years back and had a great experience so I was excited to go back. I have to say that Matthew (school director) is unprofessional and has no empathy for students. I had to withdraw the class for medical and financial reasons and the first thing he tells me when I tell him my unfortunate news is “It’s a shame you’ve been wasting your time coming here and enrolling”. Not even a “I’m sorry to hear about that” or nothing. But the thing that really upset me about the administration of the school is that they tried to rob me of my tuition money. I enrolled into 2 classes and only got charged 100 for enrolling into the classes. A few weeks later I made the first payment towards one of the tuitions, Shortly after, I had to withdraw the class for medical reasons. The admission fee of 100 is non refundable which I understood but I had already made a payment towards the tuition and was told I would get my full refund of that back. It took a while to get my money back and I finally received my check but was shorted 100 dollars. I called and asked them to look into it. They called me back and told me since I withdrew from both classes, I got charged for the admission fee for the other class. So they were trying to tell me that I should have got charged 2 admission fee when I first enrolled but I didn’t. That isn’t my problem if they didn’t charge me 200 dollars, that’s their mistake. Why wasn’t I charged that in the first place? I was very upset because I didn’t receive a receipt or was told nothing. I had paid that money towards the TUITION, which was refundable. I had to jump through hoops to get my money they were robbing from me. After speaking to many people and going off, they finally gave me back my money but wow, was it a fight. It was ridiculous that I had to argue and fight them. Especially after me telling them I have to leave the school for medical and financial reasons. It’s unfortunate because when I went to this school, I thought they were great and the teachers are fantastic. But now with new people running it, they are terrible and I will never recommend anyone to go to this school. They are pushy as well. I’ve actually heard one of the administrative workers push and be aggressive to a woman enrolling into nursing class that started the very next day in the morning. The woman was speechless and didn’t know what to say because this woman kept repeating “if you want it that bad, take the class, take the class”. The woman ended up saying she can’t because she works. Which is reasonable. Matthew is not a good director and he will not empathize with you if you’re in a bad situation. All this school cares about is THE MONEY. Save your money and go to a different school. I know I will when I am ready."
"Didn’t learn enough to practice in the field. Felt pressured into going through with the classes and was even rushed into paying off tuition during first day TOUR. Everything from book to uniform overpriced. I never found any type of job opportunities from the phlebotomy license. Now that my phlebotomy license is expiring I can safely say I never used/needed it and I was better off never wasting my money or my time here. I regret ever walking through the doors. My teachers were great but administration and management needs work."
"The school is exceptional ! they worked with your time to help you to start school. The teachers were understanding and they do hands on work with students."
"I just finished the EKG class with Mr. Evan. He was such a great teacher who made the class fun! You can tell how much he genuinely cares for his students. He is so sweet, and supportive and has the kind of energy you just enjoy to be around. I definitely left there feeling confident with everything he taught us. I will be back for more classes and will definitely need Mr. Evan as my teacher again! Great school, staff, and classmates! Thank you ISAHC!"
"I had the pleasure of taking both Phlebotomy and EKG classes here this past year. My experience was amazing start to finish. I had Mr. Evan for both classes and I could not have been any happier!! Mr. Evan makes learning fun and enjoyable again in the classroom. I am grateful to have had him as a teacher. He is understanding of a students willingness to learn and needing to make up hours due to unforeseeable events in ones life. Mr. Evan is a very rare individual and I'm blessed to have known him, not only as a amazing, caring teacher but also as a very loving, caring, understanding, humble human. I hope more people have the pleasure of taking classes here and enjoy learning again. I know I wouldn't regret any of my time here."
