"I went for four years and graduate in 2009 through the yabc program . for the most part the program in the school makes it a good safe net for students not to drop-out"
"I'm currently enrolled in Lehman High School, my junior, year but only have been here for 2 years. When i first arrived here I was informed by many teens in my neighborhood that it was a really bad school, that i was going to find all sorts of people inside. Although the school contains an out-numbered amounts a staff, security guards and body scanners these often make matters worse and unhelpful. 70% Staff in Lehman High are the worse, they don't follow the school code and help the students sneak objects into the school; most of the time its just phones, but inside the phones many things can be hidden inside, like drugs and other dangerous stuff. Recently a student snuck in a phone with a blade inside, and cut another student. You will always find some sort of drama going around, which the students are the main cause of. Many of which harass and bully other students. Not only fights are incorporated in this school but also drugs. drugs are sold smoked and sniffed in and out of the school campus. But despite the fact that MOST of the students are really bad, the school still does contain a group of good students which have really good academic scores and overall are really good students. ALL the teachers are AWESOME and try there hardest to comprehend the mind of all students good and bad and somehow transfer a good education to all their minds."
"I don't know about half of these comments slandering the school on fallacies. I attended the school for 4 years, attended summer school once here, and graduated in 2008. Sure, it had it's ups and downs and yes there are students that get into fights every now and then, But guess what ! it's High school... These things are normal no matter where you go, it's part of growing up. Plus there were always police officers assigned to the school grounds on duty. As far as education goes, I can safely say that 9 out of 10 teachers there truly put in an effort to change the lives of their students and prepare them for the world beyond the class room. As a student with interest in Technology, they provided the C+ copper networking, A+ Certification, Robotics, and tech bridge programs for FREE. This gave me a leading edge against other college students. Now to be fare, I was part of the last graduating class under the graceful guidance of Mr. Robert Leder, before he was forcefully removed from his position for what a vast majority of students and teachers believe was false accusation and political agenda. The District just wanted someone new to fill the seat regardless of who it was. Again, I can only speak on behalf of the time I spent attending as a student and the year or so afterwards when I was working there. 2004-2010 In the last year that i was there working, the "new" principle at the time did have a disgusting attitude towards students and employees alike. The atmosphere seemed pretty sour upon her arrival. So I wouldn't be surprised that Lehman High School is no longer in it's glory days. With that said, I still carry an UNWAVERING pride of my high school, the teachers, and the memories I made there. GO LIONS !!!"
"My father built the school many many years ago.....although I never attended the school...The military taught me...like anything else in life you get out of it what you put into it.....I believe in public education.... Hope the school continues to change with the times...."
"Went from Preston high school, to Lehman, and it was well worth it. Just like every school, it has it's moments, but I'd give it all just to attend again!"
