"Joe was my first drum teacher, and I took lessons with him for about 6 months before moving to another area. Coming in, I had a deep interest in playing jazz, and I specifically sought out Joe in order to develop skills in the genre, as well as be able to work on the fundamental techniques of drum playing. In this span of about 6 months, I learned an immense amount. By no means am I a master of drum playing, but I am really pleasantly surprised with how much Joe and I went over, and how it prepared me to go forward and continue my playing. It is abundantly clear that Joe loves this art, and loves to teach it.
