"These guys helped my husband when he sliced his hand and needed stitches and my daughter when she stepped on a glass ornament and needed the pieces picked out of her foot. They were so quick both times, hardly no wait time."

"I went to the ER for severe foot pain. When I got there the nurse that brought me back did a great job! She checked my feet for about 10 seconds and poked around to try to find out where the pain was sitting in my feet. After she was done with her small examination and questions, she grabbed the physician. This man literally walked into the room with his hands in his pockets and said you have plantar fasciitis you can either get a high strength, Tylenol, or a shot in the foot. I told him I wanted an x-ray, and when the x-ray showed that nothing was broken he stood by his claim. I told him that I don’t want any medication from him because he did not do any sort of examination on my feet. The only reason he did the x-ray is because I told him that I want one. That’s why I came here is because my feet feel like they are broken. Again, I had to remind him that he is not trustworthy, and I am going to go somewheres else to get a second opinion because he didn’t do an examination on me At all whatsoever he walked in the room with his hands in his pockets and told me that it’s just a strained ligament. I ended up going to Brooks And got great care! We did another x-ray, and it was shown that my navicular bone is extremely close to my ankle bone and most likely that because I walked 10 miles every 12 hour shift that I have the bones can’t touch by the end of the day, because of the way that I stand and walk . Which is why my feet gets so swollen and I feel like my feet are broken. I did not get any attentiveness from the physician at Westfield whatsoever! It was a complete waste of my time. Katie, in the emergency department at Brooks went through every step of the process with me before it even happened. She explained to me that I would see either an orthopedic or a podiatrist and they would most likely end up getting me some sort of custom arches to fix the arches in my foot, so I don’t feel the pain when I walk. Not a single shred of care and attended. This was given by the physician at Westfield at all! He needs to be fired."
"My experience was in the ER. They make a diagnosis off of assumption. They make notes about a physical exam that never took place. Say in notes they thoroughly went over testing results when all they said is it came back fine/normal. I expected to be met with compassion and instead felt like I was in the twilight zone. Being judged rather than cared for. Rude comments made by staff as they are walking out of the room. I am absolutely disgusted with the treatment I was given even by the doctor. I will be filing a formal complaint."
"We took my elderly mom to the ER at the advice of her PCP. I won't go into all the details of our long and frustrating day. First of all, the CAT scan machine was down. We were told it would be 2 hours. Then another 2 hours. Then, 6 hours later, that it wouldn't be fixed at all. The attending Dr was ready to discharge her before the other testing was done and only did all the required testing after I called her PCP and her PCP called him. The nurse was great until the end when she began discussing her own experience with a family member and our care options (my mom lives with me), including nursing homes and hospice right in front of my mom! The girl at the desk was pleasant and efficient and the EKG tech and very kind and patient, however, next time I think I'll take mom elsewhere."
