I've been taking lessons with him online for almost 2 years, and he's helped me grow from a complete beginner to being able to play intermediate/advanced songs/grooves in multiple different styles of music. Our lessons are a good mix of theory and practical playing, and Chris tailors the subject matter to my specific interests. "Chris has been my daughter's drum teacher for well over 2 years now. She was a 13 year old "self taught" drummer. Chris took her from barely understanding the craft to a skilled drummer. He creates lessons that are engaging, challenging and meets the student right where they are. My daughter's favorite part is that he frequently pulls musical selections for her to listen to and play concentrating on various drumming techniques--taking into consideration her musical preferences and exposing her to musicians she's never heard. He takes a genuine interest in the student's desired direction and is able to teach not only the skill but an appreciation for the maintenance and care of instrument --this makes for a well rounded musician. Additionally, he has a well curated studio where he is able to sit at his own drum set and the student at theirs allowing for optimum use of the lesson time and demonstrations. The skills my daughter has learned through this school has allowed her to lead worship in our church, be part of a community band and become the lead drummer in her high school jazz band.
