"This church welcomed us with open arms. The building itself is used most of the week and even is used for a refugee church location after the first Sunday service. Something you don't find often these days is compassion. What I have found at park ridge is compassion. Starting with the pastor, Mary. When my now wife and I first attended this church pastor Mary asked to go to dinner with us just to get to know who we were and what we were going through. I will never forget that moment of investment. She's been available to answer any questions and share interesting insights to things I have juggled with for years. The people are fantastic too. It's not a place you will be berated as a guest just welcomed like a regular attendee. That stood out to me too. When we went here no one tried to sell us on the church. We saw what their service was for itself and saw the people for who they were and we fell in love with going here all on our own. We became members on our own and can't wait to be even more involved moving forward."
