"Cave just rocks. Incredible teacher and mentor to my daughter and a kicka** percussionist to boot (just listen to him play during lessons!). Professional, flexible when need be and very personable as well. Sad to see Hamburg Music Center close but glad we were able to stick with Cave for one on one lessons. Would highly recommend!"

"Cave has been teaching my daughter for almost two years now and I could not be any happier. She started taking summer lessons with him at Hamburg Music Center before she started fifth grade. She really enjoyed working with him and I felt like she learned a lot from him. When schools closed last year she was absolutely devastated that she would miss her end of the year band and jazz ensemble concerts and I was concerned that she would lose interest in playing. The music lessons that she was taking through school seemed to fall by the wayside so I was so grateful that she was able to continue taking lessons with Cave. He set up Zoom lessons with her as soon as he was able to and it has been a great way for her to continue learning and practicing. As soon as it was safe and practical, she resumed in person lessons with him at his home. I think that Cave is a great teacher. My daughter can be very shy and reserved and I feel like he has a very patient and kind demeanor that helps coax her out of her shell. Our schedule has changed a lot throughout the past year and he has always been accommodating and flexible with setting up lessons. I feel like he teaches her a wide range of techniques and skills and exposes her to different styles of music that she probably wouldn’t get a chance to experiment with at school. My daughter always looks forward to her lessons with him!"

"I Took lessons from cave for the better part of 10 years. There is nothing this guy can't teach you, Cave is a true professional, and his playing ability shows it. He has so much experience playing, gigging, recording etc, and has been everywhere in the music industry. Very easy going and friendly, and knows just about everything there is to know about his craft. I definitely plan on taking lessons again when I return to the Buffalo area for any period of time, as my playing wouldn't be where it is today without Cave's mentorship.
