"HORRIBLE. Why go through the effort to try to make this hospital something that it will never be and that is good. Overcrowded waiting room with medical care provided in your waiting room chair and in front of others. No privacy. PA that was seeing patients could not even come around from her desk to discuss your medical situation. You had to stand to look over her computer so that you could see her to talk to her. 8 hours in this ER for subpar care. Absolutely a disgrace. JCAHO should really pay this hospital a visit."

"Horrible care!!!! I am a 67 yr old woman who suffers from a lifetime of severe asthma, Crohn’s/ulcerative colitis/severe constipation and jaw-teeth rotting dry-mouth syndrome. When it came to the point of not having gone to bathroom for 10 days and beginning to be in danger of sepsis, I repeatedly called for help, only to be consistently told to go to er. The rome er is rife with increasing covid of which I am at high risk, also they have no G.I. Doctors equipped to handle this problem. No G.I.even though Albany are taking new patients, so they are effectively leaving me to die. They are useless, malicious, and without conscience. Do not go here!!!"

"Do not use them for your health care. Dr Wynn is a great doctor but that's the only good thing I can say about it. I had a blood pressure reading that was extremely high and when I called to speak with the doctors nurse I got their stupid recording and who knows when they will call me back. I made a huge mistake by changing doctors when my doctor retired. I have criticized them when I thought they were wrong now I must thank them for reasponding to my request for a prescription in a prompt manner. Good job."

"Never give reviews for hospitals but I just had to for this. After a terrifying experience at the Wynn hospital I went to Rome Hosptial ER for a second opinion and I am glad I did!! Jaime Blum the NP was the most wonderful, thorough and compassionate NP I have ever seen. She is on top of her game!! There need to be ALOT more like her!! The rest of the ER staff were so pleasant and caring and they actually smiled at you. THIS is the kind of care sick people need when they are feeling their worst and are scared and don't know what's going on. Stay away from Wynn if you have any kind of immediate trauma. You will die in the ER first. Going to be ALOT of lawsuits with that new "state of the art" dump they built too fast!! They need to get nurses in there who aren't only there for a paycheck. Yeah we get it, they're busy and are under alot of stress but they forget the oath they took to care for patients and that should always come first! I hope the Rome ER staff see this review and know they are appreciated and to keep up the great job they are doing!!! I have never been so appreciative of an ER staff in my entire life. I hope the hospital administrators see this review also.!"

"Brought my son in for a dislocated shoulder at 9pm, it’s now 1130pm and they JUST NOW come and tell us, there is no beds and we have to wait for someone to get discharged before he is seen! My son is 16 he has been in terrible pain this whole time and now you come and say this!! I said can you at least give him something for the pain, my heart has been breaking for him for the past 3 HOURS!! So then the nurse comes back and said she’s setting up a bed in the hall, but only one parent can be with him! So now I can’t be with him, this hospital NEEDS to figure something out, this is CRAZY!! NEVER AGIAN will I come here, I live 2 mins away, but I will drive to Utica or Oneida!!"
