"I was there for kindergarten and first grade 2010-2011 and the vice principal used to discipline the kids by beating them with things like rulers and hot glue gun sticks, just to name a few"
"i went there for pre-k in 2010 and i used to get beat with a ruler"
"I have attended this school when I was 8 years old. I have stayed till 5 because my mom said: " That it was not giving me the right education that I need". Also, I was being failed by my math teacher Mr. J but I didn't care so much but my parents did. They put me in a new school which was down the block from Hebron and now I am passing all my grade I am now an 8th grader who is taking 2 Science Regent as well for 1 Math."
"I decided to be generous and give this school 2 stars, not based on the quality of education that the school gives because admittedly I don't know anything about that. Rather, I've given this school 2 stars because they refuse to keep the grounds clean at all. The space they occupy is easily one of the oldest and largest buildings in Crown Heights North and I can understand not having the funds to restore the building. However, the grass is overgrown, the sidewalks are cracked and damaged, and the gate that surrounds the school is falling apart in places. Because of the condition of the school, many people opt to litter along the sidewalk and not pick up after their dogs in the morning. Additionally in the winter time, they refuse to actually shovel snow and instead throw salt on top of the snow that has already fallen. Every year I find myself tripping over destroyed sidewalks, slipping on ice that they didn't properly salt, and dodging dog feces. I honestly wish all the best for the teachers and students at this school, but I don't know what kind of learning can occur in such a disgusting environment."
