"Well in the morning there is no order to get on the school bus, to go to the Canarsie location. No line no nothing! Everyone stands outside in the cold, in no type of line. Grown people are pushing little kids to get their kids on the bus. They need a list of some sort! I know it's public school but take some time to get a functioning system going little kids shouldn't be pushed by adults just to get on a school bus!"

"All of my Children have attended P.S. 235. My daughter graduated from SOARS. The principal Mr. Lord, the teachers and staff are some of the best people I've known. I brag about my kids going to this school."

"This school is the best school ever. Do not listen to the other people who said bad stuff about P.S. 235. Mr. Lord and all the staff are the best people like Ms. Walker, Mr. Simon, and so many more. The lunch is sometimes good and other times not all that great. I am in tat school also, if you interested we have a No Place For Hate program! I want to go back to P.S. 235 and start from 1rst grade again."

"The vast majority of teachers at this school are wonderful-- very dedicated, hard working, organized and experienced. The curriculum is geared toward success in Common Core and that is why its children get the highest scores in the district and amongst students in the city as a whole. The SOAR program is stellar for any bright child who starts out with a good foundation approaching kindergarten. There are minimal additional activities for the children, like language, gym, clubs or after-school activities. They do have a Boys and Girls Scouts on Friday afternoons. However, PS 235 does wonderful Shakespeare and National Dance Institute programs which not only provide a popular, artistic program for kids, but also a phenomenal productions. The PTA is a hard working group of parents and who manage to provide support for those outstanding programs, and also for great 5th grade/ senior year programs like a year book, senior trip and luncheon. Most parents are engaged and discipline is not a real issue at this school. There is a successful No Place for Hate program that reduces student conflict and increases an anti-bullying environment."
