"I'm not satisfied with my primary care doctor so I'm firing her as my provider. Doctor gunadasa she doesn't listen to me. She should listen to the patient and do what the patient says."
"I made a doctor appointment last week for a medical concern. I get a call today at 4:50. 10 minutes before they close saying my doctor will not be in tomorrow so they are canceling my appointment. I explained to the girl on the phone I need to be seen for high blood pressure and other issues. She refuses to help me and tells me to call back in the morning and see if they have any cancelations. I'm so upset with this. I will be finding a new doctors office."
"What’s the point of being forced to make an appointment 8-10 months in advance for it just to be cancelled a week before because the doctor is taking a 6 week vacation? Got an appointment for the summer (when I, a teacher have free time) for it to be canceled and next earliest is September… when I’m already back working forcing me to now either skip my physical/ check up or use one of my few days off. Maybe don’t take appointments when you know you’re gonna take time off?"
"I was a patient here for years, all of the doctors they referred me out to during my pregnancy were in Durham. There's no followup. Their partners called me a week after I had my baby asking if I was ready to induce. I had a retained placenta, informed them and no care was provided. For this pregnancy I asked for options they scheduled me for an appointment for counseling and if I decided to keep them baby they said they'd schedule me for an obgyn appointment. I decide to keep the baby and when I call to ask for a referral someplace not 35 mi away, they tell me it's been 3 yrs since I've established care and they are not accepting patients. Now I have no access to care or PCP because my PCP was never replaced after retirement. I assumed seeing their obgyn would be enough established care but now that I want a non duke obgyn all of a sudden they drop me and I can't find help anywhere. I'll have to go to the health department if I want access to care now. If I would have known that seeing their obgyn last year wouldt be enough to establish care I would have came in for an appointment with the nurse practitioner like I normally do."
