Reviews of Citrico Cafe
"We were a large group celebrating a birthday. We each found something we enjoyed. The staff was great!"
"A great reinvention of this local gem of a spot. Food and drinks were great, from the details in the presentation, the "tapas," portions to mix and match, happy hour and the creativity of the options. Try the birria and filet mignon tacos, get some oysters and try as many cocktails as you can and you won't be disappointed. The ambience was great with nice decor, fun chill trancy music and excellent service (Thank you Enrique, Andrea and Wilson!). Will definitely go back!. I have to try the live music nights next ;)"
"Was in Queens a couple of weeks ago for a flower event and the girls and I decided that food was definitely needed to complete the itinerary for that evening. We all jumped in one car and fumbled with our phones to find an eatery. When Citrico Cafe was suggested we all said yes and the close proximity to where we were was an added bonus. It was a Monday evening, we found street parking across the street, and was seated as soon as we entered. Spacious with, warm natural wood tones and ample seating. They also have an elevated "cat walk" bar display wall. Sadly we missed Happy Hour by 20 mins and there was no flexibility on the clock. To start we decided on chips & Guac, corn ribs, and I ordered the chicken tortilla soup. These items offered a great first impression. The Guac was nicely flavored and not bland. The corn ribs were cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The chicken tortilla soup gave me the comfort food hug I needed and thankfully was not overly salty. For entrees we all ordered the Branzino. Again flavored and cooked perfectly as well as light and flaky. For cocktails we tried a couple of Mezcalitas, Citrico Margarita and the Sotolita. All the drinks were good except for the Sotolita, which I was force to send back, was absolutely not a fan. Overall a great dining experience and our waitress Mabel was a gem. Definitely looking forward to returning and hopefully I get to try their Happy Hour. Just A Note: They have a weekend Taco Brunch that also looks like it's worth a try."
"I came to celebrate my boyfriends birthday on a Sunday night in September & it was my first time here. My group and I definitely enjoyed our time there. The food and decor was great!! The atmosphere gave me a Tulum vibe right away! Service not so much..the waitress was way too serious and didn’t really check on our table. The food was definitely something to talk about! I fell in love with their filet mignon & shrimp tacos. Their shrimp ceviche was so freaking delicious as well! I even started eating the ceviche with nachos lol. I did like their frozen margaritas & their specialty cocktails too. I could go on & on but I will stop here lol. I can’t wait to come back and try more dishes!"
"My cousin found this place online & wanted to come based on the aesthetic alone. We had reservations but they also weren’t very busy. I had a coconut mojito & the drink alone i would come back for, it was delicious. Our food was good as well, i will definitely be back! Server could have been more attentive."
