"We toured both large and smaller daycare facilities in the area before enrolling our son and the minute I stepped in to tour Discovery Kids, I knew this would be the perfect place for him. We started with DK at 4 months and are now in the older toddler room. As first time parents and both a working mom and dad, we are confident with the care and education that our son receives when we are not with him. The teachers are amazing, I cannot say enough positive things about the infant and toddler teachers. They truly are like family. Everyone knows and genuinely cares for our child and he enters and leaves excitedly to see his teachers and friends. The assistant and director are responsive, accommodating, and clearly communicate any updates. We are so happy with the experience and growth seen in our child at Discovery Kids."
"My oldest daughter started at DK at 4 months old. She is now 31/2 and still attending. They have the most amazing infant room, almost zero turnover in staff and everyone is super kind and easy to communicate with. They send multiple pictures a day and any questions or concerns are always addressed immediately. My daughter loved the toddler room and is now in pre-k, she loves going to school and always comes home with a smile. I have also enrolled my youngest at 4 months old, and feel so comfortable dropping them off knowing they are in good hands."
"We have had a great experience at DK with 2 kids. There was a time when I would agree with some of the bad reviews, that the management was not the best and a lot of great staff was let go or left. That being said, our kids always have a good time there, and things have gotten better recently. We didn't have any CPS experiences, so cannot speak to that. The facilities are better than most daycares. The integrated rooms have trained staff in behavior, OT, PT, Speech and kindergarten readiness."
"There was one time where I would have rated 5 stars, however, ever since a new Director was hired back in 2022, this agency has descended into the saddest state I've seen in our 8 years of attending. The proficient staff they had at one time has been scared off by the oppressive Director and Board and due to the turnover, they now have hired people that are not up to the standard - suddenly, this agency has had both OSHA and CPS called on them multiple times the past year (two of the teachers that CPS investigated are now facing child endangerment charges and are not allowed to work with children or geriatrics for 10 and 25 years respectively after a child had their wrist broken while at the school) - they say they are "inclusive", however, they discriminated against a child with Autism that attended for 7 years straight and kicked him out without any incident occurring or any evaluation/observations, etc and the principal of Summit basically told the parent "there are plenty of other places to go". This child endangerment / discrimination is all on top of horrific customer service as well - we believe it was retaliation when the child with Autism was kicked out because the parents were calling and leaving multiple messages and emails with no return call and when they called Summit to see who could respond, it was after this that the child was kicked out. There was also an incident where the Director faked an email response with another parent to show they were responding when they, in fact, do not respond to parents. You can't go into the building, can't call the classrooms, can't get a hold of them when you call - basically your child is in a prison for a few hours and you just hope they make it out at the end of the day. At this stage, since they've lost one of their last great teachers, I wouldn't go there if someone paid ME to send my children there."
