Reviews of Cottage Healthcare
"Worked with them for medication management and therapy for nearly two years. Staff is kind, but treats you more like you're a friend that came over to visit than a client. I'm unsure if they ever claimed to be, but they aren't very adaptable to LGBTQ+ clients. For example, when I told staff my preferred name and pronouns, they treated it as if was something silly and not my actual identity. I was given a strange look that said to me "Are you sure?" Though stated multiple times what my pronouns were, I was constantly misgendered as well. I recently ran into a problem with my medications being filled and when I called to discuss it, they informed me I was no longer registered as a client under them. I feel if that is the case, they should reach out and inform me so I can either reestablish myself as a client or seek services elsewhere within a timely manner. Instead I had been filling my prescriptions through CVS for three months and having them filled with no word from any doctor. I should have at least recieved a phone call. Because of this situation I have been without my medication for a week now and been going through withdrawals. My doctor, Dr. Childers, is hardly ever in office and nearly impossible to contact, even in emergencies. Overall while this is a friendly place, it's not professional in the slightest. There are much better places to go."
"These guys suck! Amateurs!"
"These people should be ashamed of themselves. "Peer Support" is a joke. Soroya (?) was supposed to drive me to important appointments while I fought an eviction while pregnant and juggling a 2 year old and a struggling marriage. Instead she "offered" to meet me after each appointment or on a different day, after I've already walked miles and begged to get on the bus to get to each appointment. I essentially had to beg her to help me. Thanks for the carseat though. In addition to casually asking me extremely personal questions (part of the "deal" I suppose) she stole my cell phone to look through my messages and pretended that her son found it in the car. Because I struggle with PTSD, depression and anxiety she must have also thought I was stupid. After "finding" my cell phone in her car she proceeded to text my cell phone that she found asking me to contact her... In addition to her "helping me", the agency they work with called Alliance Behavioral Health waited until my landlord filed the writ of possession locking me out of my home to call me and tell me they approved my application to help me save my apartment. Laughable honestly how they did absolutely nothing to actually help my mental health state and keep my family housed. Unorganized. Unprofessional. Fake people. Furthermore, they scheduled an appointment for me with a "therapist", rescheduled the appointment, then when I needed a different day due to work gave me her cell number and she didn't know who I was or why I was calling and even stated that she'd have to talk to Quen who scheduled my appointment because she didn't know what I was talking about. Just plain old embarrassing and a nightmarish experience with people who pretend to care. Seek help elsewhere but good luck because no one genuinely cares in this world anymore and you're on your own to sink or float."
"They have lost some important records of mine, and had no concern over the issues. Therapist always late taking light of my issues. They are not at all as good as they once were."
