"My 4year old daughter had been dealing with chronic sinus infections and her pediatrician referred us to this location. Dr. Bloden is great he immediately knew what the problem was (enlarged adenoids) he explained everything to me as well as using a diagram. She had her surgery yesterday and everybody was so friendly I was so nervous for her because it’s the first time she’s ever had surgery or anything but the nurses and everyone else definitely made her comfortable and me as well. Dr. Bloden did her surgery and he kept me updated. She’s doing great so far!"
"I have never been given the run around so much from a physician's office! The first person who answered the phone told me they don't do anything with CAPD patients. Then I was told their machine was not working after I said it specifically states they treat CAPD patients on their website. I was told they also have a new audiologist so until they get trained they are referring people to a different hospital. I explained how this location's proximity to most of my travel in the area works best so I don't mind waiting as the other location will require time off work and much more coordination. She said try them back in a few weeks. I called back several weeks later, and no one knows what I was talking about and they're just "referring those patients" because they aren't doing the test indefinitely. I look online because they don't have a great rapport at this point, and the doctor is currently not accepting new patients... Would that have been so hard to make plain?! Even if the stop in new patients is as a result of down equipment, someone could have just communicated that and not make it seem like they will never start treatment again. If they truly aren't treating these parents, and if it's a permanent decision, the services offered should be updated on the website."

"My 12 yr old broke her nose and we met with Dr. Brett Dorfman, MD and had a great experience. She had surgery at Rex Wakefield and everything was exceptional from start to finish. Highly recommend here and Dr. Dorfman for any ENT related issues."
"The 1 start review is by no means a reflection on Dr Bloedon or the clinical staff. My issue is with the administrative staff and Rex UNC billing. I had surgery late last year. My insurance paid for most of it but of course there was a co-pay balance. As I paid the bill I noticed some of the insurance claims were being turned down. When I checked it showed procedures I had not had done were declined. That made sence because the visits were follow-ups. I later noticed my outstanding balance was going up. When I enquired I was told I was being billed for surgical procedures when I had my follow-up visited. The surgery center and anasteisoloigist for the surgery was about $30,000. Dr Bloedon's fee was $9,000. The follow-up visits where is being billed for a procedure were $1800 each. When I enquired I was told since there was equipment used during the follow up they listed it as a procedure and it was a generic term No one from the billing department can do anything. I have been turned over to collections for part of the bill because some of the funds I paid were applied to the bill in dispute. I keep getting a run around from the billing department and no one for the practice administartive department has replied to me. Every time I have gone to the office the staff at the reception desk is on their phones and when I had an emergency situation the front staff, rather than helping me get in touch with the doctor, berated me for trying to come to the office. This was after the ER (A REX faculty) told me to get in touch with Dr Bloedon ASAP and no one in his office would return my calls. I have been a REX patient for years but the trend seems to be going just like the rest of the healthcare providers in the area. The billing is excessive and when you try to get explanations they give you the run around until they can send it off to collections."
