"They claim they sent me two bills for a $40.60 balance to my address, no explanation what was for. My insurance paid everything including them and today I got a bill for that amount that was sent to collection!! I have to go to my insurance account to figure this out and I learned was from a co-pay. No warning or explanation from Regional Anesthesia PLLC. I strongly believe that with the amount of complains from their billing department, they should do some study and evaluate them because something is not working with that department, they sucks! The anesthesiologist was great, the billing dept. not at all."
"If 0 stars was possible this place would get that. First off they balance bill you, which from researching is illegal for emergency services. My personal insurance paid the agreed amount and then they turn around and bill me for the rest. What did the representative say when I told them on the phone that they were not supposed to balance bill me according to the agreement with my insurance? Her response and I quote "well, we can". Just because you can doesn't make it legal. BEWARE to all the folks out there that aren't super familiar with health care billing. It's super confusing and this just makes it worse with a company that has these types of practices."
"I had no problem with the anesthesiologist prior to my hand surgery in July 2019. My insurance website alerted me that my carrier had paid all the claims so I have been waiting 4 months to receive a bill from Regional Anesthesia. The bill arrived yesterday, stating this was my third notice and the account would soon be turned over to a collection agency. When I called the billing department, I was transferred to Jennifer. Her first statement, "You have received two prior statements, " I interrupted to say that was incorrect. In a very bored and condescending tone Jennifer said, "If you will let me finish." Turns out their billing company completely screwed up. I paid her on the spot with a credit card. I then told her that a sincere and heartfelt apology would go a long way to making me feel better about their accusing me of non-payment. My tone was calm and professional. She hung up on me after saying in an extremely sarcastic voice, "You have a super day." This kind of customer service is a great example of one the things wrong with healthcare in the U.S. Jennifer sees the insurance company as the customer. She does not understand she has a job because this company was selected to provide a service I am responsible for paying for. When i went online to leave a review it was clear to me that this is not an isolated incident but a corporate attitude. I suspect there may be multiple "Jennifers" working there. I was required to provide them with an advance payment so I knew who would be providing the services. If there's a next time, I'll ask my doc for other options."
"I was going to give them ZERO stars. These people have the worst billing department in the world. They billed me twice for my surgery last year....which had already been paid by the insurance company. I call TWICE and was told it was an error on their part and they had known about the problem for three months BEFORE my surgery. I was told the second time I called it was taken care of and I wouldn't receive any more bills. I didn't....that was three months ago....today I got a warning letter saying they were turning my "bill" over yo a collection agency. I will be calling the Attorney General and Insurance Commissioner's office tomorrow and reporting them for attempting to double bill for something they've already been paid for. If you're going to have surgery and this group is going to be giving you the gas....don't do it. You'll be in billing hell for months."
"The Anesthesia department is 5 STAR fantastic, but the billing does not deserve even one (1) star. My husband has had 3 surgeries, with this team, and each time they leave our insurance hanging, for months. It has been over 5 months and our insurance STILL does not have proper documentation, from them, to pay the bill. Our insurance has paid everything else promptly, but they are still struggling, to get the information, from the billing department. Billing is in another state and they obviously are just processors who never have, to face the men and women who do the actual work and need to be paid."
