"I love each and every one of the Doctors I have experienced seeing and my gosh is my child greedy! lol They make me leave everytime with wonderful feelings on this breastfeeding journey of mine and sometimes I go just to see them and get the reassurance I need."
"We saw Lisa. After a holiday weekend with a newborn infant losing weight, suspecting a latch issue and a need to supplement with formula due to a subsequent waning milk supply, we went with specific needs and questions in mind. The midwife suspects a posterior tongue tie. We wanted guidance on choosing a formula. We needed information and answers. Being our third child, and our third time breast feeding, we did not need instruction on basic breast feeding technique, which we received anyway. We did get some helpful information about using a breast pump. We also had to continually pump the LC for information. She didn't volunteer it easily. While likely excellent at helping people learn to breast feed, Lisa seemed at a loss and overwhelmed by the complexity of our situation. She forgot to answer questions, gave us basic information we already knew, and sat there staring at me, silent, until, bleary eyed and sleepy, 5 days post partum, scared and upset and overwhelmed, I managed to keep track of the information I needed from that session better than she did and repeatedly all questions until they were answered, or deferred as information unknown to her. She could not answer our more complex questions. A few hours googling these issues would have (and has) told me more about tongue ties, choosing a formula, and correcting a waning milk supply than seeing Lisa. I will admit she did correct my incorrect use of my breast pump adroitly and quickly. The correction plan she prescribed for us (feeding, pumping, and bottle feeding every two hours around the clock) could honestly be lethal when combined with post partum depression, and was at least strenuously exhausting. I chucked it yesterday, and results are better when both the baby and I are sleeping. Her metrics were entirely unrealistic, and clearly based on textbook averages, not actual experience in the field. Very frustrated with the lack of knowledge and support. I was expecting a depth of knowledge and problem solving that wasn't apparent in my interactions with her. Not worth the trip across town and the time spent. I would have done better to seek help elsewhere. I have heard a woman named Dana at this practice is an excellent LC."
"After having seen 3 lactation consultants in the Charlotte area, I can say with confidence that the staff here is the absolute best! Dayna made this first time mom feel so at ease and reassured me when my daughter was teetering on the edge of failure to thrive. Thanks to their thoroughness, I am successfully breastfeeding now! Dayna & co absolutely saved my breastfeeding relationship."
"Such wonderful staff! As a first time mom, I have needed a lot of guidance and advice and the ladies here were incredibly helpful! I've also experienced my fair share of issues with breastfeeding and they helped me get treatment and support."
"Amazing experience! The ladies are so helpful, knowledgeable and caring! Had tips and proper corrections for every issue I had! Caught issues my pediatrician and other lactation consultants missed! Love this place. Highly recommend!"
