"Horrible from the care to accounting!! My husband and myself used cornerstone surgery and literally was butchered and left to ourselves. My surgery was in Jan. 2016 and my husbands was in Feb. 2016. Both in horrible pain after surgery, and of course it was a Friday and doctors had already left nothing could be done!! Once able to see a doctor the next week we were told that they need to be sure we weren't pain pill shopping!! What in the world!! Apparently people just have bogus surgeries just to get pain pills. Not our issue, if people don't need surgery why agree to do it?! Anyway,both of us finally recovered and got back to life. We started paying our bills monthly as agreed. Billing had no issues til December 2016!! Almost a year after surgeries. Get the bill in the mail and now they've charged us for something THEY missed at time of surgeries!! This happened to my bill and my husbands bill!!! Where my bill was $510 left to pay they now say I owe $1250, due to an accounting error almost A YEAR AGO?!?! What? And my husbands bill was $600 left to pay now they say he owes $789.99 A YEAR LATER, due to accounting error!!! Makes no sense!! When I buy groceries at Walmart, walmart doesn't contact me A YEAR LATER saying I owe more for the groceries I bought. CORNERSTONE (soon to be Wake) IS SORRY ON ALL LEVELS AND I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!!!!!!"
"I have been using Cornerstone Internal Medicine for years. I have a physical every year. Our insurance pays for the annual physical. Each year I receive an additional bill from Cornerstone after the physical. I have fought it every year. This year, I left voicemail messages, physically showed up at the office to speak to the practice manager, and no response and no replies. Last week, my wife informs me they put the $165.00 charge through to a collection agency and it showed up on my credit report! I have spent (up to this point) 3 hours on hold, talking to people that can't answer my questions, etc. and still no resolution. Yesterday I was told they are "working on this file". What does that mean? My entire family will be leaving Cornerstone and finding medical care somewhere else. If they can't get the billing right, do we trust them to perform health care services on us?????"
"I go to two doctor offices who are associated with Cornerstone Health Care. I love my two doctor's. However, when I cannot get an appointment with my general practitioner due to an untimely sickness I go to the After Hours Care (aka Urgent Care). My first few experiences 2 years ago were great. However, the two times I have been this year were HORRIBLE! The first visit I was just thrown some drugs and sent on my way. My second visit the PA I saw barely made eye contact. Getting her to speak to me was like pulling teeth out of a toddler. When I asked what might be the cause of my sickness I was given an incredibly vague response. When she told me she was going to prescribe me a cough syrup I had to ask what it was and what the side effects were and if I could take it during work. She said I would be fine taking it at work. However, the pharmacist said they WOULD NOT recommend me taking it at work especially if I had to drive. I had been sick for almost 10 days. I left urgent care that day feeling like I had wasted my money, time and I was treated like a number. Get them in and get them out so they can get their kick back from the insurance company. 3 days later and NO improvement I called my doctor and was able to get squeezed in that afternoon. I found out I had bronchitis and what the PA from Urgent Care prescribed wasn't going to help me. My sister just visited due to some pain she's been dealing with for a few weeks. She was completely disrespected by the nurse. Made to feel stupid and prescribed a "pain relief" drug and sent on her way. They didn't tell her why they were prescribing this particular drug, what is and what it helps with. If you need to go to an urgent care facility I would recommend CVS Minute Clinic until you can get in with your regular doctor. I don't often write reviews and when I do I try to leave reviews for places who exceed my expectations. But this place has failed me more than once and I don't they should be able to get away with treating people with no respect and offering sub-par medical treatment."
"I overpaid $620.00 because they quoted me wrong for what my insurance would not cover for the birth of my daughter. I wouldn't be mad about that if I wasn't still waiting to get a refund check on what they owe me. I had my daughter early December was supposed to get the money in January I waited till February and called they told me my check was cut and I should get it soon. I waited a little bit and called in March they told me it was about to be sent out within a week. It's now April and still nothing in the mail. So I called today and they told me my check was cut and they were about to send it out exactly what they told me in March. It is crazy how if I owed them money It would be sent to collections by now, they would be calling me everyday, and it would hit my credit yet I still have to wait to get my own money back. I suggest if they ask you to prepay on anything before it's due or try to "help" you so you don't owe it all at once don't do it save it on your own. I'm not sure If they plan to give me what I overpaid yet. I will probably be calling in May and getting the same answer."
"They don't call back when they say they are unless you call them back 100 times. They insisted on having my physical address on file even though they had my mailing address, then still they mailed items to the physical address. I asked if I could pick up my patient paperwork be mailed or email or if I could pick them up ahead of time and was told since all my information is the same there was no paperwork. Then I show up the day of and they tell me that I have to fill out all the paperwork again. It starts from the head down. I spoke to the supervisor/manager Matthew, and he was the same way. Thankfully my doctor left this company! I followed. More than once I had to ask them to forward my health records to my doctor's new place and still I wait..."
