"I have been going to WFP for over 15 years but in the last year I have had so much trouble getting someone to call me back. It’s so hard to get through to anyone. I waited over 5 weeks for a medication only to find out my insurance wouldn’t cover it and when I asked what to do next was told my the receptionist “I don’t know”. My dr never called to talk about other options. I called to get a referral to an endocrinologist and they said they would send it over and they never did. I don’t know if they are just over it and don’t care anymore but I am now looking for another Dr who will actually listen to me and help me with my medical problems."

"I recently scheduled a routine exam at Wrightsville Family Practice, a place I had been a patient for many year but had not been there in 2 years. However, my most recent visit turned out to be a disastrous experience. First and foremost, I arrived well in advance of my appointment time, eager to get my routine checkup done efficiently. I diligently completed all the paperwork and pre-tests as instructed by the nurse, wasting no time in doing my part to expedite the process. To my utter disbelief and dismay, my experience took a turn when the doctor finally graced me with his presence. Instead of a warm greeting or a professional demeanor, he dropped a bombshell: "We're not accepting new patients." Keep in mind that I was not a new patient; I had visited this practice before. So, the rejection was both bewildering and humiliating. Even more frustrating, the doctor offered a half-hearted apology and proceeded to deflect blame onto his staff, implying that they had wasted my time. I had spent a 1.5 hours waiting before I even got to see him, only to be told they couldn't see me. This is the pinnacle of disorganization and inconsideration. It's beyond comprehension that a medical facility, especially one with the word "Practice" in its name, could operate with such blatant incompetence. It's not just about my personal experience; it raises serious questions about their professionalism and commitment to patient care. In light of this dreadful experience, I strongly advise anyone seeking medical care to steer clear of Wrightsville Family Practice. The disorganization and the blatant disregard for patients' time and well-being are inexcusable. Frankly, I can't fathom how they manage to stay open with such a lackluster approach to patient care. Save yourself the frustration and disappointment and look for a more reputable and considerate healthcare provider in the area."

"Even though I consider Dr. William Jones to be my primary, I have also seen Dr. Bart Williams and P.A. John Midgett on occasions as well. They have all been exceptional. Dr. Jones and his office have helped me through some serious medical situations. I believe tht Dr. Williams ability to communicate with my other doctors and specialists to keep everyone on the same page was a game changer. A word of caution for prospective new patients though. Wrightsville Family practice takes your health seriously but if they feel that you are not adhering to their medical advice or recommendations and participating in your own health recovery they will ask you to look elsewhere. It is a busy little practice and they do not waste time. FYI this month I am cancer free five years now. Had Dr. Jones not caught the symptoms and referred me to a specialist I might not be here to type this."

"How is Dr. Williams and Jones getting less than 5 stars? This is an excellent place to receive care! So much so that I have most of my family go here! ( I haven’t been in a while, but they are still my first choice of care) The staff gets overwhelmed and it’s understandable they are keeping up with appointments and sometimes a high volume of walk ins. Please be patient, the DR.s are amazing! They had a PA at one time that I had issues with (like 13 years ago) and I didn’t like because he had a complex and knew nothing about me and we had it out over the phone, but Williams and Jones are some of the best family doctors in Wilmington with your best interest at heart! They LISTEN, which is RARE! I strongly recommend Wrightsville Family Practice!!!"
