Reviews of Crossroads INFINITI of Raleigh - Service Department
"Use non-dealer service if possible... MUCH less expensive. I had two really bad experiences. On the first one, my headlight was burned out... Cross Roads quoted me $2,700! Yes, not a typo. They claimed they didn't have the aftermarket ballast, and therefore the ENTIRE sub-assembly had to be changed out. I took my car to a local shop (owned by an in-law, so I knew I could trust them) and they ordered the part on E-Bay ($95) and then installed it in less than 60 minutes (total bill was less than $250). Second experience - I needed to replace my key fob and Cross Roads quoted me $600. I called a locksmith and got it done for half that. Bottom line, unless your car needs to get work there for warranty reasons, you are almost assuredly paying too much. Find a smaller independently owned service shop instead."
"Took my car there and let them know the AC wasn't working and three ac compressors had been installed within a year and a half to no avail prior to my visit there, including the used OEM compressor and the new four seasons AC compressor kit part number B2353 that was still in the trunk. I also asked them to tighten the positive battery cable as I had just gotten the car back after a year and a half and didn't have my sockets in the car yet. They assured me they did a 35 point inspection. They suggested a new AC compressor be installed at the cost of $2300. I reminded them that three had been installed in the year and a half prior and was there any additional diagnosis they could do including the compressor in the trunk? They said they would have to start the diagnosis by replacing the AC compressor for $2300, no other options Upon asking if I could sell it, they said because it was a Canadian car it would have to go through the import conversion process (changing the instrument cluster) and I asked them if that service could be performed. After waiting a time period measured in days, they said that because they did not have any new instrument clusters that they could not perform this service. I received the car back with the battery cable still not tightened, and just before I left one of the service reps swapped the battery out in my key fob with a dying battery. All for the low cost of $179. I think a refund would be appropriate. I later took the car to Johnny's Auto and Marine Electric at 1573 Mechanical Boulevard in Raleigh after personally suspecting the HVAC amplifier module behind the radio. A visual inspection by them revealed a blown capacitor in the HVAC amplifier module behind the radio. Replacing that got me off to the races and my AC blowing Ice cold. If you have an Infiniti G37 of the 2008-2013 vintage they have an HVAC amplifier module behind the radio that controls signal to the compressor. Might be worth swapping the darn thing yourself or at least your own visual inspection may suffice."
"Months ago I received communication about a recall for my 2011 M56, I took car in for recall and was told they would have to order the part, and schedule me a time to come back in, which was fine. Never heard anything back concerning the part. So I call 2 weeks ago to schedule an appointment for the recall repair, to assure that would give them time to make sure the part was there. So got several reminders and even spoke to someone telling them I would be there for the recall repair. So took time off work to show up for my appointment. After 30 minutes sitting in the waiting room they come tell me the part had been sent back and they could not make the repair. This is just plain incompetence, they had two weeks to Order this part for a scheduled appointment. Now they tell me if I could take time off again and bring it back the next day they could have the part. This seams like this would be common sense. Have the parts if you have the appointment for a repair. Previous times of service , when I paid out of pocket, they were on the spot, with a loaner car everything was taken care of. Now they couldn’t give me a loaner because car was out of warranty, But it didn’t have warranty the last time you gave me a loaner. I guess they were not getting any money out of me today because this recall repair, so they didn’t care. Stop boasting great customer service when you don’t live up to it."
"I 2015 Infiniti QX 60 and tried to have it serviced at Crossroads Infiniti....they told me because my car is no longer under factory warranty they could provide a loaner. My son has a 2014 Lexus from Leith, he had it serviced last week and they provided a loaner......needless to say I will not buy another car from Crossroads."
"Our business is not concluded yet but spoke to Phil in the service depth. My Infinity QX 80 ( purchased used from another company. It died! Couldn't even unlock car with key. Spoke w/ Phil and he was so patient. Told mee to get car to him & he would schedule me. While I was waiting on tow ruck I received a message from the dealership telling me the car was scheduled for Monday morning at 7:30 a.m. Got car to him and we were able to talk in person. My first impression was that I really like the dealership."
