"Sooo, service was overall good. Technicians came out diagnosed it, fixed it and cleaned up. All different departments all were very good and fast. However, the reason for the 1 star is the very poor customer service of the Admin. This is a review of Rotor Rooter as a whole, and because of the poor customer follow up via email, not able to get admin on the line, calling 5 times and the same auto answering message that was old, from Dec 27th was given at every number I tried, (press 1 for this or 2 for that) that gave me the same message. I even mailed in my payment, and still waiting for my credit card to be charged, as I was told I could phone it and tried 5 times. Maybe I shouldn't have tried to pay my bill?!? I would not chose Rotor Rooter again my any of my needs unless it was an emergency and I could not get a hold of anyone else. It's to bad, the techs were great. But I think when you review a company, it has to be as a whole and not based on part of it. Hopefully management changes things so their techs can get better reviews ... update..I was harassed by the Raleigh manager and asked to change my review, as well as my cc being charged the wrong amount and the wrong cc being used. I tried calling to fix it yet no one answered the phone so I mailed it in. Poor customer service, poor management, overpriced charges, and your invoice may even be changed. Use a local plumber or company not these big franchise businesses. It's very well possible had they had someone in their office to answer my call this would have never made it to the Google for review...."

"In the past,I have had a really good experience with Roto-Rooter. On top of a job well done, I appreciate professionals who are honest,provide clear information regarding the issue,communicate effectively and don't try to take advantage of my minimal knowledge of plumbing,etc.As I mentioned, my past experience with Roto-Rooter met all of my expectations. However,I cannot say the same about the most recent encounter.The job got done,no complaints there.I had an issue with the plumber avoiding to answer questions that would help us determine which one of two jobs we should proceed with.He became defensive,emphasized he is the one with all the experience,mentioned he had other jobs to go to,and threatened we'd have to pay some amount if we decided not to proceed with his services.At no point we suggested we wanted to get out of the contract,we just wanted to figure out which project was more complicated and needed professional attention vs.a do-it-yourself fix.We were asking him to be honest with us and switch the agreement if it better worked for,I believe,all of us.Sure enough,he bullied us into changing a leaking hose on a washing machine for over $400 claiming there may be more issues that only he can determine.A job we could have done on our own.Now we are still to fix our toilet,a pricier work that neither I nor my husband are willing/able to tackle.If he was willing to talk,he would have made more money.Now, we're just going to go elsewhere for help."

"They are all in one it seems for what you need. You make an appointment online and they are on top of it. They have great recommendations for maintenance and did a big job of replacing quite a bit of cast iron pipe. Worth the money. Never could I ever have coordinated all that without them and they inspected on Friday and had the job done by Saturday for a house of 6! We needed it. Thanks all!"

"I had an unpleasant emergency situation with a bathroom toilet leak from upstairs. The company was very responsive and quick, the plumber came out quickly however I had to sign a paper that I was willing to pay over $300 just to cut out my ceiling in the kitchen to see the problem. The plumber had to call his boss to get instructions by phone how to fix this issue after the discovery….this was a point when my trust started shaking a little bit. After he fixed the problem, he said this might come back (meaning my kitchen ceiling might get wet again from upstairs overtime and get everything destroyed again…..seriously??) and I had to pay close to $1000 at the end! I told the guy do the job as it would be your own home! Even more interesting then when they packed up their things from the bathroom “accidentally “ packed up my bathroom metal pedal trash and almost took a step up stool as well walking downstairs what I caught in the guy’s hand (the plumber’s helper) asking where the hell he is taking that? I called the company later that these guys were taking my stuff out of my house “accidentally” and it was promised that they will reach out to them to return. Nothing happened. After the “temporary repair” for $1000 they reset the toilet then called mitigation company whom came out a day after an undo all the job what the plumber just did the day before and what I paid for. This is ridiculous! I don’t recommend this company to anybody. There are few other 24/7 plumbing service out there whom are actually doing an honest and great job for a fragment of this price."
