"I took my work iPad here to get the cracked screen replaced. I was able to pick it up the same day because I signed up for the home care package (honestly I could care less about the warranty stuff the only reason I signed up for it was to skip the line and have my device repaired sooner). When I initially picked it up it was super low on charge and I couldn’t charge it in my car. I walked right back in and they realized they forgot to hook up the charging port. (That’s okay we all make mistakes). It was late and the guy fixed it right then which I appreciate. A few days later I noticed that my Bluetooth wasn’t working. I couldn’t turn it on or off. It just displayed a spinning circle where the on/off button normally is. I called and they said they would order a replacement part to see if that fixes the problem and to come in once it is ordered. It would be free of charge. Seems reasonable. Then the next day the screen or home button (not sure) shifted and it left my home button unusable. I picked up my iPad today because the replacement part did not fix the Bluetooth problem and they aren’t able to fix it. They did fix my screen. They voluntarily offered to refund what I originally paid for the screen repair so I appreciate that. Mixed bag! The employees are nice and fair but a lot of headache for a simple screen replacement!"
"I'm super pleased with the ease of this iPhone service. Typically, I'd be worried about where to go and if I can trust the repair person. This service takes it to a whole new level. It was surprisingly easy to schedule an appointment at my home, the repair person arrived on time and was super easy to work with, pleasant and professional, and they fixed the phone in the back of their van in about 1/2 an hour. It does not get any better and easier than this."
"After specifically asking the person at the front desk to *email* me due to them having my phone for a repair, I was not contacted via email that the repair couldn't be completed. For 4 hours, I refreshed my email waiting for updates & when I reached the store, employees told me that there was an issue with Samsung that wouldn't let them create a ticket. I'm giving one star, not due to the Samsung issue, but specifically due to the staff's failure to notify me via email as requested so my time wouldn't be wasted. Instead, they called my phone which was in their possession and did not take a common sense extra step to send an email."
"Made an appointment detailing the part that would need replaced. Waited a week. Squeezed it into my schedule. I show up and they don't have the part. There's no difference in appointment and walk in. There's just a mostly empty room of unhappy people. There is no estimate on timeframe. There is no wait list. There is no reserving a part. There's no communication between online and stores. Just a waste of time."
"I brought in a working phone with a worn-down battery. They did a battery replacement within the allotted time and communicated well. It was initially promising. However: Within an hour of leaving the store the phone stopped working. I can now hear things rattling around in it. Store manager Steven has a shocking lack of accountability for the problem - saying "I didn't personally inspect the device and can't say that it was in working order". It seems like a MANAGER is responsible for the work his store does. Unprofessional quality of work. But I understand mistakes happen. It was the complete lack of ownership and empathy to fix a problem that they caused. They were unwilling to give a loaner phone and hid behind "its against Google's policy - this isn't something that uBreakiFix can do anything about". Perhaps the store should be named weBreakWeDontCare."
