AdventHealth Medical Group Ear, Nose & Throat at Hendersonville

"I understand emergencies happen and schedules get off as a result. I do not understand incomplete discharge paperwork and lack of follow up with my driver afterwards. DR Maddox and my team were great however, my paperwork didnt give dosage for otc meds (follow the back of the package can varies widely.) Nor did it include what I was give pre, during and post op. I ended up reacting badly to the pre surgery steroid and the on call dr blew me off. Told me to go to the er and they blew me off and couldn't access my records or get what they needed from my notes. Someone followed up with me the next day from advent and said theyd have a dr call me back of if I could use 2 meds together-they never called back. Dr maddox didnt reach out to me or my brother post op. Its rated at a severely painful procedure for an adult and they want to treat me with only tylenol. I'm grateful the anesthesiologist was willing to give me a low narcotic dose or I'd have never made the ride home (2 hours)I finally called ingles and they gave me an immediate answer on yes I could use both meds and what to watch for. Throughout this process advent has treated me as a case not a person. They are skilled providers and if anything goes wrong after good luck."

"This practice pushes patients through and doesn’t actually take the time to examine and diagnose their patients. We never even got to see a doctor either time we took our neutropenia son in. Because of their lack of attention to detail, my son had to have emergency surgery on his ear for a mastoiditis infection that could have been prevented had they actually examined him and took the time to order a CT scan the first time we took him in. We are now 5 days at the hospital. Skip this practice and go somewhere that cares."

She listens with care and takes her time, answering all my questions and looks out for my best interest like I’m her only patient! and the staff is just as great. "DO NOT use this office. I just took my 92 year old dad there and I was with him the entire time. A tech came in with a scope and camera and he was overwhelmed by the technology. He said wow never thought he would see the day they could look inside you like that. The tech left and then reported that my dad had said something about the techs race. The woman told a blatant lie. But the incompetent office manager came in and accused my father of saying it and said he couldn't come back and she would escort us out. Beware. These people are insane and if you must go record your visit on your cell phone because God only knows what they will accuse you of. My dad has never said a hurtful things to anyone, ever in his life and now he is distraught beyond belief. I have a formal complaint logged with them and we will either get satisfaction and an apology or seek a legal remedy. But I would use someone else if able. If this is how they run their office, who knows what quality of medical treatment you will receive."
