"I was a patient of Dr. Maher. I found out he left the practice when my pharmacy was trying to get a refill. They wouldn’t give me a refill until I saw a new doctor. When I saw the new doctor, he seemed annoyed and didn’t listen to the fact that I have been trying to figure out what is going with my health. The new doctor said he would help and just call if the medicine isn’t working. I called, didn’t hear anything back. Called again, found out the doctor is out of town for a week. Left two more messages for the on call doctor. Have not heard back. Dr. Maher was actually working with me and helping me. Made a lot of progress over the pass year. Now I’m back to square one and no one at Biltmore Associates seem to care."

"Last year my primary care physician (PHP) at Biltmore Medical Associates (Dr. Mayer) left to start his own practice, but instead of having another doctor assigned as my PCP, they just kicked me out of the practice with less than a month's notice. This left me scrambling to find another PCP at another practice. This is unconscionable and shows just how little Biltmore Medical Associates cares about the health and well-being of their patients. It should be noted that just a couple years earlier my PHP there left to join another practice in town, and Dr. Mayer had been hired as a replacement. What does the turnover rate of physicians say about their practice?"

"I was sent a letter Dr. Mayer was leaving and the nurse practitioner would see me for 30 days if needed. I called and said I would like to stay on and wait for the new Dr. Lady said fine we will have the nurse practitioner see you till then. I called the other day and this rude lady receptionist started to scold me like I was a child and said I needed to be a new patient. Ok fine. The message said they had two doctors accepting new patients. Today I get a message it doesn’t look like they can accommodate me. Urgent care can do for now with less of a co-pay"

"It’s hard to even express how poorly they handled the situation with Dr. Mayer. I got a form letter on October 28. I called up the next day and talk to the practice manager. I asked about seeing another doctor in the practice and they said there was no way they were taking new patients. So I was basically terminated as a patient right there and then. They could see me the next 30 days if there was an emergency but that was it. The practice manager and said she would see what she could do in call me back the next day. I never heard from her again. Stunningly unprofessionally handled. That’s all I can say. And I could never recommend this practice to anyone."
