"Appointment made for 2pm, arrived office at 1:30pm. Waited until 3pm finally seen the dentist. Only dentist’s time is valuable and not respect patients’ time even appointments were made? 1/2 hour wait is normal but a whole hour? This is ridiculous."
"I strongly don't recommend this place to anyone, either for getting your teeth cleaned or any other dental or orthodontic services. Just looking at the average rating of barely 1.7 on Google, it already said it all. First, the front desk girl is rude and impatient, and I've seen many occasions of her being very rude to the patients; especially for those just there to make some inquiry about dental services, especially those elderly with only Medicare and/or those doesn't speak fluent English. Second, the dentist there is ridiculously impatient and unprofessional. All they want is to try anyway to make CASH out of you, even for those who already got their dental insurance (they would tell you that your coverage doesn't cover that, you need to pay on your own). Never trust a word they said if they've told you that you need something to be done and your insurance coverage doesn't cover that--they're trying to make CASH from you. Always check with another dentist first if the service is necessary, then check with your insurance if indeed you need to pay out of your pocket. After numerous occasions of bad experiences there, giving out wrong and false information about insurance coverage, I should consider filing a complaint to the NY Office of Professional Discipline (OPD). So a lesson of keeping basic professionalism in their medical practice could be taught to them, even when they're practicing in the low-income neighborhoods."
"First don’t go to this dentist and his sister Sammi (bad attitude) either. You will get bad skill, cheap material and money making advice. Simple and light tooth filling fell off twice and claiming to do your favor to fill the second time without charging. He gave no guarantee to the second filling would stay long, if it came off again then you need a crown. It’s money then but lose a teeth unnecessarily. We know it was a small cavity at the beginning and each refilled needs to drill deeper. The second filling really came off after couple months. We switched to other dentist and saved that teeth without crown, just filling and stayed for a year already. My whole family will switch! Deserve zero star!"
"I WOULD GIVE THIS PLACE a 0, but I can’t. This place literally scams people. My grandmother paid them a rather huge sum of money to get her teeth fixed, but they had the audacity to take her money and not do the procedure. I believe no one taught them how a transaction works. And when they are confronted that they didn’t do the procedure despite getting paid, they had the audacity to blacklist. So unprofessional! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL, especially if you have elderly parents or grandparents. They are taking advantage of them!"
"Even with an appointment, I waited over an hour and a half. People were coming in after me and getting seen first. I booked the appointment for myself and two daughters 17 and 12. My 17-year-old was mortified after seeing tending Dentist Sophia Ling, DDS. My daughter came out after having her teeth cleaned and immediately told me to find another Dentist. She said she felt like crying because the Dentist and Assistant hurt her teeth and gums so bad. She said they were very rough with her like if they wanted to purposefully pull her teeth out. She said the Assistant was spraying water and saliva all over her with the tube. She said the Dentist was rushing to finish. My daughter's lower teeth /gums were bleeding. She didn't even want to wait for me and my other daughter to get seen and basically ran home. When it was time for my 12 year old to go next, the dentist came in the room and sat down to begin work without saying 1 word. I asked if she was the Dentist and she said yes. I told her she just saw my other daughter and that my daughter complained that she was very rough. I also let her know that I take them to the Dentist every 6 months and they have no problems with their teeth (no cavities etc.). I told her that the reason I was there (a new patient) was because unfortunately, their last Dentist no longer accepts my insurance. I let her know that my daughter she was about to work on is only 12 and she just said ok and turned to do her work. After she was done, my daughter got up from the chair and the Dentist still didn't say anything. There was no contact made at all. Not to let me know if my child's teeth were good or bad or anything. My 12-year-old also complained she was rough. I began speaking to my 12-year-old about the lack of communication and the receptionist overheard. She asked if there was anything they could do for me. I said No thank you because I already knew I would not be going back. I did decide to get seen next to experience firsthand how the Dentist handles her patients. It was then she came out and said "your daughters have no cavities." The job she did on me was horrible. It was a half-done cleaning. She talked in Chinese with her Assistant and really said nothing else to me. She may have purposefully decided to be way too gentle with me because of my daughter’s complaints about her roughness. Overall, SHE IS A HORRIBLE DENTIST! WE WILL NEVER GO BACK AND I DON'T RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GO GET TORTURED BECAUSE THEY NEED A BASIC CLEANING."
