Reviews of Setagaya
"In our opinion, this restaurant is the best one in Japan Village. The broth is incredibly rich and the portions are generous. The grilled pork is surprisingly tender and the vegetarian ramen is also not disappointed. The only issue is that there is a lack of tables, as it’s always packed on the weekends."
"First time at Japan Village, good spot for ramen. We ordered Spicy Miso Ramen, Black garlic tonkotsu deluxe with a side of extra pork and Mt.Fuji Ramen. Hope to try something else next time. Would highly recommend if you’re in the area."
"Unfortunately, I wasn't very happy with my time at this ramen shop. Although the food was decent itself, the service was awful. The staff seems uninterested in assisting customers, and the cashier was incredibly lazy and sluggish not to mention failing providing our specific needs to the kitchen. In addition, she made mistakes with each item in our order. When I questioned the misordering, I was met with hostility. Due to the poor customer service, I would not, in overall, advise this place."
"Overall, the quality was not what I expect for the price. We both got the black garlic Tonkotsu DX. The broth was okay, it was not very hearty and the consistency on the thinner side. The chasu was thin and a bit dry. The spiciness was not heavy, nor was the flavor profile. The seating is convenient and comfortable, so it was a nice break from shopping around Industry City. The chasu was small and middle of the road, I wouldn't recommend at the price point."
