"I had wanted to go to this film festival for several years and this is the first time I actually went. I am so glad that I did! It was excellent in just about every way. The location in downtown Statesville was really nice, and I have been back to Statesville a few times, and will go again. It was really good that all but one of the venues were within walking distance of each other. The one that was a couple of miles away, the college, was lovely - pastoral, nice buildings, good parking, with great signage. The staff and volunteers for the film festival were absolutely stellar. They were available for questions; friendly & helpful; welcoming ambassadors; and really went above and beyond to make it a great experience. One guy walked me to my seat as it was dark in the theater and I was a minute late. A woman offered to store my soaking wet umbrella when I got caught in a downpour. The people at the "central hub" at the coffee place were great. Perhaps most importantly, the selection of films, and the films themselves, were amazing. I saw both shorts and full-length films and was able to attend a Q&A with one of the film makers, which was cool. It was a wonderful experience in almost every way (other than one venue not having a bathroom, but they did direct me to the coffee shop). So glad I went and will attend every year that I can."
"This was my second year attending Full Bloom Film Festival, and it was an unforgettable cinematic experience that left me both inspired and entertained again. This annual celebration of cinema truly exceeded my expectations in several key ways. 1. **Diverse Film Selection:** FBFF showcased an incredibly diverse range of films from around the world. From thought-provoking documentaries to gripping narratives and experimental shorts, there was something for every cinephile's taste. The festival's commitment to showcasing a variety of genres and cultures added depth and richness to the overall experience. 2. **Talent on Display:** One of the highlights of FBFF was the opportunity to see emerging and established filmmakers present their work. Q&A sessions with directors, actors, and crew members provided valuable insights into the creative process and made the films even more engaging. 3. **Community Engagement:** The festival fostered a sense of community among attendees. It was heartwarming to see film enthusiasts come together to discuss and appreciate cinema. The organizers' efforts to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere were evident throughout the event. 4. **Well-Organized:** FBFF ran smoothly, which is a testament to the hard work and dedication of its organizers. From ticketing to screening schedules, everything was well-planned, ensuring that attendees could make the most of their time at the festival. 5. **Memorable Screenings:** I left the festival with several films that will stay with me for a long time. Whether it was the emotionally charged drama, the mind-bending experimental piece, or the heartwarming documentary, I was moved by many of the selections. 6. **Venues and Atmosphere:** The choice of venues added to the overall charm of the festival. Whether it was an intimate theatre setting in a historic Mitchell Community College Campus, or intriguing atmosphere at the old jail turned arts council, each location enhanced the viewing experience. The atmosphere was electric with the excitement of fellow film enthusiasts. Oh, and let’s not forget the after parties where the guests were treated not only to good food and drinks, but also had a chance to mingle with the filmmakers, sponsors and organizers! Such a fun way to connect with the community of film enthusiasts. In conclusion, FBFF is a must-attend event for any film lover. Its commitment to diversity, community engagement, and exceptional organization make it a standout festival in the world of cinema. I'm already looking forward to next year's edition and can't wait to see what cinematic treasures it will bring."
