"Refusing to see my daughter as a client because there is currently a court case involving my daughter. Pediatrician sent my daughter to them via a referral, I called to follow up because I still haven’t heard from them after several weeks. I was greeted with a nasty attitude and the lady told me they won’t see my daughter there since the court is involved with my daughter right now.. I said this has nothing to do with court her PEDIATRICIAN sent us here bc she needs counseling. The lady still told me they would not schedule her because “they don’t like to get involved in anything with the court system.” I asked for written prof that they were denying to see her as a client and she refused. But hey they are here to help families right!! Place is a joke. Her attitude was the real problem though, she acted like it made her happy to deny my child services and talked to me like I was stupid for just calling to follow up on a referral."
"I am writing to say how disappointed I was to be confronted by the receptionist at Tricare… she was sooo very rude and not helpful at all .. my grandson who just turned 18 and considered an adult needed some help and compassion as he was navigating the health care system for the first time as a very young adult… he was so distraught after confronting Debbie the demon he was absolutely broken…. Do NOT go here"
"Debbie is your front line. Ultimately she sets the tone and reflection of your business. This practice has wonderful providers, however, you must go through the lions den to get to the good of this practice. I called Debbie to inquire about a appointment and how the billing will work for this appointment and I was met with nothing but a hostile attitude and evasion of answers. I believe it to be a simple practice in customer service when someone is paying hundreds of dollars out of pocket for a service it should be met with a warm and welcoming attitude for the patient or person paying to ask questions and have clear understanding. This experience truly saddened me and the one who suffers is my child."
"Our son has been receiving support from the clinical staff at TriCare, specifically Dr. Sheaffer, since 2007, when we relocated from Durham to Yadkin County. Dr. Sheaffer's knowledge of and experience with those on the autism spectrum has been a blessing to us. His advice and guidance have been a key source of support to us throughout the years. Our son looks forward to his visits with Dr. Sheaffer, and respects his advice. It is not a simple process to have someone on the autism spectrum feel so connected with a therapist. To sum it up, I highly recommend TriCare for the expertise of their clinical staff, and for the warm, receptive nature of their office staff. I personally receive so much from their kindness and professionalism. Thank you, Debbie and Dr. Sheaffer. Happy Holidays!"
"To Whom It May Concern: I am writing you this letter to let you know how incredibly disappointed we were with your front desk staff. Your office manager was one of the rudest people that we have interacted with in a very long time. It looks very poorly on the doctors who work there as I feel they are very nice and well versed in their subject. Unfortunately, they probably know nothing about this and I am hoping these words will shed some light. There was an instance when your toilet overflowed, we were first ignored intentionally when trying to alert the office then yelled at once we were able to finally get her attention and thrown a roll of paper towels by YOUR office manager, Debbie. The toilet was already running when we came in that day. Yes, we cleaned up your toilets mess, yes, we didn’t say anything that day because our son didn’t need to feel like he had done anything wrong but I am saying something now. You handled it in the worst way possible. In an effort to prevent anyone else from going through an experience like this, I’d like to suggest that you treat your patients with respect and gain some tact in the way you respond and deal with them. A lot of the patients that come in to your office are accompanied by children and are dealing with a lot of things that are very serious inside and outside your office. The last thing they need is to have to come in and feel unwanted by your staff. I will be posting this online as well so future patients will have a choice in knowing how you run your office before spending any money or time there."
