"This place seriously rocks. If you love tapes and especially early 2000s childrens cartoons/media you will have an awesome selection of rentals and some for purchase. Loved hanging out and taking the atmosphere in, looking forward to trying the cafe and seeing a showing!!"
"I absolutely LOVE Vis Art! I would like to give a special shout out to Ms. Kat who did a lovely job of coordinating my son's graduation party. She was professional, punctual and very creative with ideas of how to run the whole event. It was the perfect set up!!! We had about 30 guests and there was plenty of space both inside and outside in the garden area. We could have easily fit over 100 guests there. We had a DJ, food, a cake and a space for the graduation cookies! The customer service here is top notch! I would also like to give a special shout out to Matt and Johnathan who also helped with all of the tech support during the event. They both are laid back and cool. Did I mention the awesome video store??? You have to see it to believe it. This place is a hidden gem right off of Eastway! Thank you again! If you need a great space for your next event here in Charlotte, Try Vis Art!! You will love it too!"
"This place is AWESOME! Soon as u step in the feeling of nostalgia overtakes you. They have soooooo much to chose from, stuff you have heard of and maybe stuff you haven’t. They often do free old school movie showings in the “cave”. I went for Saturday Morning Cartoons and they provided free coffee, cereal and little pastries. So glad we have a local place like this."
"This is the epitome of the Charlotte experience! When you combine nostalgia, cinema, popcorn, candy, and great people doing amazing work, you get VisArt. They have more titles than most, if not all of the streaming services, and the act of browsing the store brings you back to those Friday nights with your family when you used to go to a video store, pick out a few titles and veg out on popcorn and Milkduds while indulging in a cinematic excellence. We’ve been going here for a couple years now and the staff is so welcoming and willing to suggest titles if you’re indecisive. They’re super knowledgeable and it just feels like one big family. They’re always involved in the Eastside community and even did “Movies-on-the-wall” for some time — so fun! A couple of other highlights: they have a micro-cinema which you can rent out and watch movie with your friends and family. You can alway rent out the space for various other events, too. They always collab with Eastside Local, so that adds an extra layer of community. Also, they have various movie clubs hosted by Jon and Matt where you learn a ton and just have a good hang. Basically this is the best place in Charlotte. Ok, I’ll wrap it up. This is a Charlotte gem and the best thing to do is go check it out. In order to keep them around, we should show our support in anyway possible. Go check them out and maybe get a dvd or vhs for ol’ times-sake. Enjoy!"
"They have a great selection of movies, shows, etc. I also like that they sell full size runs of Eastland and visart clothing. Overall this store is a great experience and one of the last of its kind here in Charlotte."
