"This was one of the few places that my insurance provider would accept, so I tried it out despite the one bad review on google. I was on the end of my rope (as those who seek counseling sometimes are) and willing to try anything. The receptionist is extremely unprofessional and the forms that they make you fill out are barely readable. I was still willing to give them a chance regardless of this. I have done therapy before and the first session wasn't what I expected. I didn't feel at ease, nor did I think the doctor was taking any steps to get to know me. She kept bringing up that she enjoys working with 'gifted' individuals. She brought a lot of stories up about herself. I felt like I was the one listening instead of speaking. I think she was trying to have me get to know her, so I was patient enough to go to another session. It was a disaster. I kept looking at the clock and felt like no progress was being made. She tried to establish common ground by bringing up 'Two and a half Men' to compare to the situation I was in. There were no constructive exercises to cope with my feelings and no linear counseling techniques. She wasn't sympathetic, sincere or in tune with my needs as a patient. The receptionist should be fired, or at least not be interacting with patients."
