"I have an undercut and for some reason have issues with women being able to give me the proper hair cut. This is the first time I've gone to a barber shop and they take such great care of me here. I actually look forward to getting my haircut. Stuie is awesome."

"Nick was able to squeeze me in without an appointment between two clients while being short-staffed the particular day I came in. While I still had a 15min wait, it was more than acceptable as it was easily offset by the friendliness and professionalism. More importantly, he knew exactly how to execute a hair style that's hard to perform on me (with widows peaks and 2 cow licks) and did it very quickly while also doing a fade to skin and shape up with a straight razor. They do bookings personally and without an official booking system and do not take payment other than direct cash unfortunately--normally that's the kind of thing that warrants a downgrading from 5 to 4 stars but the service and quality was exceptional. This place appears to be more male-oriented in general, but I could be mistaken so it's worth reaching out to be sure if your desired services are available. A+"

"This place is awesome! About a year and a half ago, I had an appointment elsewhere and he cancelled on me a half hour before my appointment, which this place has a history of doing. I called up Salt City Barbershop and they were able to get me in the next morning. Nick was my barber and did a great job. He was very meticulous and pays attention to detail. He also cuts my 2 year old son's hair and is very patient w/ him. I will not go anywhere else and highly recommend Nick!! The atmosphere is great too."
