Preferred Dental Care - Jay Ledner DDS

"I was so sad to find out that Dr. Ledner was retiring and will miss his Dad Jokes! However, the new dentist Dr. Thakker was awesome. He was very thorough and clearly explained why I was having an issue with one particular tooth (not a new issue). He talked me through the steps I would need to take to repair the tooth. After meeting with the doctor I met with Mahfu who also clearly explained the payment process. Unfortunately, they are not able to take my insurance and are working with me on prices for the needed work. I am super grateful for that. The office staff was helpful and friendly as well. I have had the hygienist Silvia before and as always she did an excellent job. All around great visit. I might add I came in upset over the whole insurance thing, glad I gave the dentist a chance."

"Been a patient here for about 15 years under Dr. Ahn who was a great dentist. Dr. Ahn left from some apparent in house fighting that Dr. Ledner started (what I got from Dr. Ledner when I asked). Last time I went, Dr. Ledner insisted I get more xrays, I told him I just had them 6 months ago and I'd rather not and he insisted saying my insurance covers it. He disappeared for about 10 minutes, came back in and said "sorry, ma'am" then said "wait, I'm so sorry sir I saw the long hair and assumed you were a female." I looked at him flabbergasted because he has my file, my name is Jennifer and he just had a 10 minute conversation with him, I have long hair and wore a sweatshirt. When I asked him if he was serious and told him I was a female, he questioned me and said "really?" At this point I told him to stop talking, do the exam and I'm never coming back to this office again. I asked him about jaw pain and he told me I need to see a specialist. I asked him about shifting teeth and he told me I need to see a specialist. I felt so uncomfortable with the whole exam, this man does not have any answers to any questions and I believe he has dementia. He should not be practicing any type of medicine on anyone. He also has a busted thumb that was wrapped when he was sticking his hands in my mouth. Utterly disgusted by this man."

"Easy to get an appointment. Very welcoming staff. Dr. Ledner has a great sense of humor. He explains to the patient what procedures are being performed and how it impacts your dental needs."

"Dr. Jay Ledner was quick and simple. He gave me honest opinions and looked to please the patients best interest. He’s also gentle when doing his cleanings which is great because it seemed like every other dentist enjoyed ripping at your gums. Dr. Jay also cracks many jokes and makes the time being at the dentist enjoyable."
