Reviews of Fanny's African Braiding
"I came in as a walk in w wet hair. My hair was dried, greased and the braids, the braids by Fanta was impeccable."
"The reason why I gave them a star and I really don’t want to give them that I went to do my hair 8/27 don’t get me wrong the person who did my hair was trying and I don’t have any complaints about the person who did my hair I pacifically told her my hair is short thin so when doing my hair I need the hair to look thick on me I wanted cornrows it did not look right I told her ok well can u do 2 braids and the braids will look thick she says yes the braid wasn’t thick enough look so thin I was liking it or trying too then going to sleep I felt pain in the front of my hair and the end so the policy says u have 3 days to come with any defect on hair or just anything wrong with hair so I go this morning to tell them my skin in the front of the hair is folded and the back is pulling my skin up so i suggested another hairstyle that I seen online that’s the same price she tells me they don’t do that style anymore ok so can someone do my 2 braids over she calls Fanny she tells me that no one can’t do it and also if I want another hairstyle I have to pay the full price so I’m asking so the money I spend on these braids I lose and she tells me yes all I told her was they are false advertising their stuff online and if they not accommodating the 3 days then they shouldn’t put that up either and also if they don’t do a style anymore that shouldn’t be up either"
"So my daughter and I went to the 112 location, to get our hair done, and they did a good job on her hair but a bit mediocre when it was mines. The lady didn’t cut the ends of my box braids evenly and when I wanted an accessory added to my hair, she charged me $5 (I gave her $10) then she gave me back $3 in change. I tried confronting her and she played dumb. I didn’t want to make a scene as my daughter was there. It must be that the braider needed the extra $2.00 badly. All she had to do was ask me. The prices on Fanni’s website are misleading, vs the the prices in her book, when you arrive at the place. As for Fanni, she tried to overcharge me for my box braids, and even tried to scam me out of extra money despite the $50 deposit that was already placed. There was also an extra $20 sent to her via PayPal as I didn’t have enough cash at hand (that she claimed). I guess the growing business and money is getting to her head. Hopefully she will humble herself because karma is real. Will not be coming back after that experience."
"This was the worst experience that I had at a braiding shop. I booked an appt for knotless bohemian box braids and paid a 50 dollar deposit. On Fanny’s booking site it states 160 dollars for knotless. Fanny also states the price on the list is approximately which by definition means close to or near. I brought my own hair due to preferring to soak it in vinegar to clean it. When I arrive the young girl at the front tells me I have to pay for the service before getting the braids which I tell her no problem. She then proceeds to tell me my hair will be 275 dollars for knotless bohemian box braids lower back length. I told her I called and the site says 160. Due to the length i told her I have no problem paying at least 40 dollars more but I refuse to pay an additional 110 dollars. They refused to give me my deposit back even though they false advertised! I would not recommend this place to anyone."
"Thank you Kady for my braids. This place is very clean and Fanny is no nonsense. She is about her her business!"
