"I’ve been going to Ntrigue somewhere in the range of two decades. In that time, their quality has never faltered. I went from getting just haircuts to realistic highlights to fashion colors and they do it all amazingly. Jen is my number one stylist (her color skills are insane) but I would trust anyone in the salon for my hair. Seriously, you can’t go wrong booking here."

"Went in today for a full highlight appointment. The receptionist had me sit down at the hair washing area, and as my hair was being washed Julie came over and confirmed with me that I had a partial appointment. To this I was surprised, and told her I wanted a full, she said she didn’t have time for it. After my hair was washed, Julie came back over to look at it, to get colors mixed. I was sat down at the table and she came over with the mixed colors. I told her I wanted to reschedule for a full appointment. Immediately the dye was taken away, the styling cape was taken off, and Julie was gone. I never saw her again, except when she came over to the receptionist later to tell her to move up the schedule. I talked to the receptionist, asking her when I could come for a full appointment, explaining that I had classes in the city so I wasn’t available in the morning. I wasn’t available for any of the dates they had available. Meanwhile, I still had wet hair. I asked her repeatedly to have my hair dried, and she kept telling me that Julie was having the next appointment come in early so there was no time to blow dry my hair. Hello?? It would take a total of 5 minutes. I wasn’t asking for a full blowout, I just didn’t want to walk out with wet hair. Julie was probably standing around in the back doing absolutely nothing just waiting for the next customer. After begging multiple times, the RECEPTIONIST did it for me. Julie couldn’t even bother. The only thing they were concerned with was preserving the dye that was mixed for me for the next customer. I was never even consulted about my hair by Julie in the first place, she never once asked me what I wanted. My last experience here was with a completely different hair stylist named Rachel. She’s always been good to me, but every time I go see her for a root touch up, more and more of my hair is blonde, instead of just the roots. All I wanted was highlights, and I made that clear every time I went to see her. My hair was almost completely blonde last time I went to see her, I had to go to another salon to get lowlights. I would not recommend this hair salon, they don’t respect you here, and they certainly find it difficult to understand what you want, even if you show pictures and explicitly state exactly what you want every time you go."

"Ntrigue Hair Studio looks GREAT since their December remodel. Very open, clean and modern. Large array of Redken and Moroccanoil products for purchase and they use Redken color in-salon. In my experience they do gorgeous blowouts, color correction, highlighting, balayage, updos and creative colors. I've gotten the Olaplex treatment to repair the bonds in my hair after bleaching and I swear by it, made my hair feel so soft and look healthy. It's great that all of the girls do both color AND cuts, and I have seen them ALL personally to have my hair done. Great group of girls. Definitely check out Ntrigue if you live in the area surrounding Port Jefferson, you will NOT be disappointed."

"I went there for highlights. Ended up with almost all my hair bleached and the color was terrible. I Called them a few times and they always said Jessica the girl who did my hair would call me back to talk about it and she never did. Also they gave me an attitude when I called them the last time. Don't go there, If you're not happy with the results they don't care, a waste of money honestly."
