"Trying to get mental health care in Tennessee is the worst experience, but this office has the most incompetent front office staff. Went to schedule an appointment that showed available on the website, recieved a voicemail that it was changed before confirming with me. Then the day of the appointment which was telehealth, i recieve a call 4 minutes prior to my appointment that first time visits must be done in person which i misunderstood since the appoitment was confirmed the day prior. forcee to reschedule the appointment again for something weeks away from the original day. Absolute horrible experience, especially when dealing with a crisis."
"I cannot recommend Maryville Psychiatry highly enough. This clinic has been a game-changer in my life, and my experience here has been nothing short of transformative. From my very first appointment, I have been met with nothing but understanding, empathy, and a results-oriented approach to my needs. The team at Maryville Psychiatry genuinely meets patients where they are in their journey, dedicating themselves wholeheartedly to facilitating recovery and well-being. One of the most remarkable aspects of my treatment here involved a novel, non-invasive treatment for my spine using TMS. This new age approach almost completely healed crippling nerve damage in my low back, keeping me away from what would have been an additional spine surgery. This gave me my life back! The staff's dedication is beyond compare. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by the nicest group of coworkers that I've ever had the pleasure of being around. You leave with the feeling that it must be wonderful to be an employee there. From the receptionist to the doctors to the TMS staff, they are all the best of the best. They truly listen, which makes all the difference in patient care. Dr. Lapollo and his TMS coordinator, Beth, stand out for their commitment to their patients. They don't just adhere to the status quo in psychiatric treatment; they actively seek out and learn the latest and most effective methods, ensuring they are applied correctly for each individual's needs. I've have been a patient for less than two years, but they've told me about many, many conferences and trainings they've attended to keep improving as clinicians. They do not just manage symptoms with cookie-cutter plans, they genuinely improve their patients' quality of life. Of all the healthcare groups I've interacted with over the years, Maryville Psychiatry stands alone at the top. My life is permanently altered for the better because of the care I've received at this clinic. If you're seeking a psychiatry office that goes above and beyond, look no further than Maryville Psychiatry."
"Dr Lapollo was kind but he would call in prescriptions for meds for my son when he hadn’t seen him in 6 months. This is cause for malpractice. He didn’t care how he was doing in the meds he just kept writing them. On top of that he gave him a very high dosage of one medicine. Another psychiatrist said it was a dangerous amount. Not happy with this man at all. Be aware!!!"
"My wife was a patient of his and he just abandoned her when she needed him because the pharmacy lied and stated that she tried to fill her prescriptions early. Dr. Lapollo only cares about money and not his patients. His office manager Bethanie Wilson is very rude. If you ask to speak to Dr. Lappollo, she will tell you "Absolutely Not". What's the point of being a psychiatrist if you can't have contact with him? I saw him one time and he could care less about what I had to say and just wanted to try and sell me supplements. I would not recommend this office."
