Reviews of Wilmington Treatment Center
"I have a family member that received treatment at this facility. Unfortunately, she was unable to complete treatment as she contracted COVID and had to be admitted to a local hospital. Upon release from the hospital she went to the treatment center to retrieve her belongings and was given a small box of some items, but she was missing about 75% of her belongings. When she asked where everything else was they told her that they didn’t know and couldn’t help her. She and I have reached out to the facility 10x asking for more information on how this could be addressed and have received no response in over a month."
"I was at Wilmington in 2016 for less than a month. In my time there it was evident that the care staff are not in any way qualified to identify autism vs. pure mental illness vs. drug addiction. I was escorted by police from Wilmington to a psychiatric facility because I was sitting oustide on a wooden bench durinh a calm rainstorm and one of the female staff couldn't comprehend someone enjoying sitting in the rain when it was summer. She told me to go inside because she was paranoid I could be struck by lightning, which I corrected her about, and then she had me arrested for "drug use and noncompliance." I have no idea where she got the drug use from. I DID find an edible, non-hallucinogenic variety mushrooms in the woods on site earlier that day but apparently foraging skills also scare these people. In the interim I have since sought treatment elsewhere and been diagnosed with autism, CPTSD, and no drug dependency of any sort."
""I cannot express enough how transformative my experience at the Wilmington Treatment Center has been." The facility provided a nurturing environment that allowed me to delve into the root causes of my addiction. The counselors were not just knowledgeable but also deeply compassionate, guiding me through a journey of self-discovery and understanding. Through their support, I gained invaluable insights into my addiction, enabling me to address both the internal struggles and external triggers that had been hindering my sobriety. The tools and coping mechanisms I acquired during my time there have been instrumental in helping me maintain a sober lifestyle. The comprehensive approach of the center helped me not only comprehend my addiction better but also equipped me with the necessary skills to handle life's challenges with resilience. I am immensely grateful for the life-changing experience and would highly recommend the Wilmington Treatment Center to anyone seeking genuine support and effective recovery.""
"Awesome facility but be aware of the homes they recommend. A Safe Place with Hannah Martin who has Aids is an abusive & one sided house. She won't even contact me about my stuff I left she striped searched me for no reason she & her home are bullies."
"The alumni group for WTC has been a very valuable part of my recovery, especially after leaving active treatment. Kelly Mulrenin is a great organizer of the group and always has an open arms approach whenever I have a question. And the softball league and monthly breakfast meetings are amazing."
