"Truly love this dentist office. And this comes from a person who hates having to go to the dentists and acts like a total child when it comes to dental work. But the entire staff- from the front desk to the hygienist to the dentist are all so incredibly professional and kind and truly make it a pleasant experience. They listen to your concerns and walk you through the steps of the procedure as they do it. They are attentive and knowledgeable. Highly recommend this practice."
"No one likes going to the dentist, but iSmile makes it pretty darn easy. They run on time for appointments, the staff is friendly and officient, and this last time I had the most gentle hygienist I’ve ever had (wish I could remember her name!). Highly recommended!"
"Was surprised by my appointment at iSmile! The team was incredibly empathetic and straight-forward. They addressed my emergency dental problem with zero judgment, and they were straight-forward regarding billing. In addition, they were incredibly aware of and accommodating to my disability and chronic pain disorders, ensuring that I had enough anesthetic to prevent a strong pain response. This was my service dog's first working dental appointment and they were incredibly accommodating to this experience - training and handling a service dog always is a process and it was comforting to see how accommodating they were. The office is clean and bright. The staff friendly and kind."
"I never write reviews but similar to the other 1 star experiences, I booked an semi annual cleaning as “in network” patient. I was billed $894 for basic cleaning and 2 X-rays that usually cost ~$300. Additionally I had a cavity and this office require patients to pay upfront ($1000 for cavity fill) and then get reimbursed by insurance as refund. They also require cash for upfront payment or 3% card fee which is absurd. Although the service and wait was decent, I will never be coming back."
"STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS CLINIC AND Dr. Portman. I'm not sure how they have so many 5 star reviews (maybe bots?) But if you are doing dental work through insurance, stay far away. I came into the office having seen their great reviews and that they are "in-network" for my insurance, and everything was fine up until the end of the visit. I booked again and did more dental work the next week. A couple weeks later, I see an out of network charge on my insurance for 880$ for JUST the cleaning, driving my dental insurance costs to almost hit the yearly limit. And I received a bill north of 500$ for the rest of my dental work despite already paying a 300$ deductible. Not once were they transparent about their costs, and I have never felt so scammed in the medicine industry. Apparently, they have multiple offices that take different insurances at different locations, and based on your insurance, they will guarantee to bill you out of network - despite them telling you that you are "in-network" and your insurance is "accepted". Listen to the other one-star reviews if you have insurance, and be wary of situations like this. Always ensure costs before they do ANY kind of procedure on you."
