"They deserve 0 starts. Called 6-7 times to set of a DrakeZero account and they just kept tossing me around from sales to support and so on. One representative said they would call me back. They never did. Just called again, and the rep didn't put herself on mute and whispered to someone else "oh she is trying to get drakezero"; noone was around again. Truly disgusting. Stop false advertising products you don't want small preparers to use. Bye."
"Drake Tax is great, since you only pay once through a bill. Watch out if you have to do anything with any of their other products that require a subscription payment....such as Right Networks. I've been working with them for months on a payment processing problem. At first I was thinking the customer service manager was on my side, to learn when she refused to take her promised action that she was gaslighting me to buy more time for her development team to figure out the issue. To make matters worse they give you phone numbers where you have to talk to people who don't know what's going on to transfer you to another party to do another task, then end up in a loop of unhelpful representatives. Absolutely frustrating! The worst part, though, is I can't dump them because I need them this year. I don't have time to onboard into a new system. It's like they know that and are using it against me and hijacking my clients taxpayer data while they try to figure out their problem. Hopefully most don't experience what I did in their faulty payment processing system but I have lost time and money as a result. They offered me two months credit then refuse to take my account out of suspension (when payments don't clear accounts are suspended automatically) by using one of the monthly credits unless I pay them so they can refund me. A cute bait and switch....offer a credit and then say you have to pay first when we are trying to solve a problem with their payment system that isn't accepting my payment in the first place. Absolute insanity. Trying to call their accounting department to pay put me in the vicious customer service loop detailed earlier. Later, to force me to pay through their online system, they told me the option to pay through accounting was no longer an option. So, I paid using a personal account to put this behind me. For those of you thinking I should just have money in my account so I can pay my bills timely, please note that I have had to be transferred to their accounting department for three months so I can give them the same payment information which they can successfully use to process the payment because they utilize a different system. Now I can't even get in contact with them. It all started after I changed addresses, suddenly their automated system can't accept my payment even though all address data matches between their system and my bank. A new update, they now won't allow me to make payment through their accounting department. They are requiring me to make payment with a different card instead of giving me the option to pay with the same card through their accounting team. They just keep compounding the issue and make it a worse experience. I'm going to have to pay now so I can gain access to taxpayer data, though they promised me credits. Do you think I'm going to stick with the service after this? You're right, absolutely not! To their credit they did refund me for two months. That's not enough for me to stay. Because this is a shared server system, even though you may pay for several users, you will experience extreme slowness during tax season. I recommend you look for a competitor of RightNetworks who provides dedicated servers at half the cost and have the support of a major national tax preparer association. I wish I would have dug into Drake RightNetworks reviews before starting, I would have saved myself some headaches."
"I’ve been a customer for 10 years… I tried to renew this year and I’m going to have to go with another company because no one will help me. They have made it impossible to renew online and I called a few times but I keep getting transferred and flopped around like a fish. My guess is no one gets a commission for renewing my license so no one wants to put in the 5 mins to help me buy over the phone. Bye Drake! ✌️"
"Renewal last year was a breeze over the phone and email. This year is a NIGHTMARE. While on the phone withe the first lady I specified which office I was renewing and paying for. Cant renew additional offices the same way, you cant do an electronic form online, you cant login and do it, you have to use antiquated methods print a form, fill it out, scan it, etc. Fill in form with 2nd office information that needed to be renewed to be told its wrong, staff incorrecrly trying to open new accounts, etc instead of the first girl paying attention on the phone. So while trying to resolve this, I've sent the same clarification information via email numerous times now, several staff members don't even have the ability to let the customer finish what they are saying before jumping in to assume they know what is correct. Assumption from other staff is what got us here.... stop being so rude to the people who pay you decent money for services. Let your customer finish what they have to say.... Regular in season support is hit or miss depends on who you get. Renewal is ridiculous and this has been by FAR the worst customer service experience I've had with Drake which is now weeks into this process."
"WORST software I have ever used in 25 years of tax prep. I do not know why ANY firm would use this instead of Proseries it is 100% better in almost every way! It doesn't even calculate mileage! You have to do all your own calculations for depreciation as well. Additionally the software doesn't have a refund monitor or a review function. You have to PDF the WHOLE thing to scroll through to find the "error" which if the software were at all decent you wouldn't need to do it manually. For example dispite checking the box for the "signing partner" you also have to go to the line on the 1065 or 1120S and manually enter that partners name again, becasue the siftware doents carry it to the necessary line. The software also REQUIRES you to enter a date on the 8879 for the taxpayer which is 100% against IRS regulations... That is a simple violation I wonder what else they also do wrong. THIS IS THE WORST PROGRAM I HAVE EVER WORKED IT, RUN RUN RUN AWAY !!!"
