"I want to preface this by saying everyone else I saw or spoke to in the office was great. I primarily visit the Asheville office and this was my first time going to the one in Arden. I saw Dr. Morehouse only because my primary at the same practice was out of town for a couple weeks. There was no bedside manner, she seemed non-empathetic, a bit condescending, not really willing to listen, and everything was very rushed and dismissive. She only spent about 5 minutes or less with me and told me I could see one of two different types of specialists, without mentioning any sort of referral or talking about what the next steps would be. She was rushing for the door as I was still asking questions and when I brought up another issue I’d like to have checked out while I was there, she told me she didn’t have time and I could schedule an appointment with my primary or go see another specialist (again, without offering a referral). I also asked about getting a vaccination and she said she would check on it and I sat in the room for an hour waiting to hear back before just deciding to get up and leave. The entire appointment was a complete waste and I left still needing answers to all the same questions I went in with. The lack of care was appalling and a disgrace to healthcare. Good doctors exist because I’ve seen them, but she falls so far from that. She made me feel like a paycheck, not like a human being with valid issues or feelings and definitely as though she doesn’t respect patients’ time, even though we have no choice but to respect hers."
